I purchased one set of these lights years ago. These are still going strong for our tropical plants. We have had Pothos, Philodendron, Fiddle Leaf Figs, Monstera varieties, Hibiscus, and many other tropical light loving plants really thrive with these lights.While on a timer for 8 hours every day, we have only had one strip go out in the last few months.However, these are the right hue or "temperature" for voracious growth on plants. Some grow lights will be too dim or have too much blue in the hue, but these have been perfect.We turn them on at night, because they are so bright and intense that they are not enjoyable to be around - great for the plants, but take care in planning for how you want to use these.I just purchased a second set to help with my planted aquarium to give it a little boost as a little DIY lighting - still waiting on the package to be shipped, but I anticipate that if the quality and intensity is the same as the first set of lighting from years ago, that I will love this next set just as much.If you have been struggling with grow lights being too weak, being too pinpointed in one spot, or having the wrong color for optimal growth, these lights check all the boxes. :)

They seem like they will work okay but I have yet to use them for my plants. They won't stick to the under cabinet (perfectly clean, smooth, commercially produced cabinets in a large, airy laundry room) where my planters for seeds are located. The value seemed okay if they will work. We still have to figure out how to attach them with something other than the sticky pads included. The red light is a bit concerning; shouldn't the light be a broad spectrum light?

I have been using my set for a few years, no problem. These work wonderfully! Nice little set for small area. Size is easy to adjust. Material is well made. They have been durable and lasted me a long time. I do turn them off every night, few times I've left them on overnight for over 24 hours and they do not get hot. They stay cool, and are very safe to use. I use them for house plants in the Pacific North West where Winters can be pretty gloomy these work great

The shipped lights were received in good condition by this customer. The instructions were simple and assembly was easy. I mounted these lights in my small indoor plant-starter plastic covered greenhouse using plastic wire ties. I mounted two lights each to a shelf (front and rear). When I mounted the light strips, I worried that the heat dissipated from the LED lamps would adversely affect the plastic wire ties and the plastic plant containers sitting on the shelf above. Upon testing the product over a 16-hour light cycle, I found the back side of the lights only slightly warm to the touch. Also, when I put my hand in front of the lights, I did not feel excessive heat, only soft warmth. I have been using these LED light strips on 16-hour cycle for 6-weeks and have had no problems with the power supply (I keep it cool with a fan to extend it's life, it does not get hot, just warm). I bought a second power supply through Amazon to have a spare, since the manufacturer recommends no more than 8-hours per lighted cycle. All items came in perfection condition, install was super simple, only gripe is that the connector from the voltage regulator to the light doesn't have a lock down connector like they do between each light.I bought 4 sets of these lights for a 4 level seedling shelf system (8' wide, 8' tall, 2' deep) that I built myself and was under the distinct impression that these would provide sufficient and the PROPER lighting for my seedlings. I started off with 144 individual pods planted with seeds ranging from A to Z almost.As the seeds came to life as seedlings we were excited to see the rate of growth that these lights provided, however, one thing was missing. As the seedlings grew their strength waned. The cell wall structure was suffering significantly due to the fact that there is too much red spectrum and not enough blue spectrum.Red spectrum promotes rapid growth especially of seedlings as well as flowering/fruiting, however, the blue spectrum is needed to excite the chlorophyll and induce cell wall growth/strengthening and also promotes growth. With the overwhelming red spectrum my seedlings shot up quickly but never built their strength to stay vertical, so, they starting drooping...FAST. Most of my cabbage and lettuce varieties took the largest hit as the stems just could not hold the tops up and they just died from there.For the rest of the plants that I could save I had a fan blowing (simulating wind) to force them to strengthen themselves along with the addition of 5000K high lumen bulbs and they strengthened up very quickly.If you have already established plants these lights will do wonders, my mint plants (highly invasive, do NOT plant mint in your garden) reacted so quickly to these lights. My three mint plants will provide me my mojitos for LIFE!I would recommend getting a balanced set up if you're wanting to start from seedlings. I would say 5000K to 6500K HIGH LUMEN set up would be best. They have them here you just have to search for them.
