I was hoping this would be a little bit stiffer than what it is. My chair sinks down into in and makes it so the chair will not move. This is very rubbery and may work good on a hard floor but does not work well on carpet. It does stay put and does not move around but would want one that is more solid so the wheels do not sink down into it.

Check out the pictures. Comes in a box rolled up. I didn't notice any significant smell of plastic even though the insert recommends airing it out. I didn't bother. Flattening with warm water and rolling in the opposite direction is also recommended. Again, I didn't bother. After 24 hours unrolled under my chairs weight the mat is flat.I'm using this for 8 hours a day for my work from home job. The wool rug with pad is protected I don't have any trouble rolling around. I'm around 170 lb. The size is perfect for my needs. I have no reason to think this will not last a long time and is of high quality.Overall great product, fast shipping, listing is honest and I have no complaints.

Left out in the sun for an hour and had no problem laying it flat. Will protect my carpet from chair wheels but not thick and hard enough to roll easily over it back and forth.

I bought this for my home office. We had hard wood in there and just recently added a nice rug to the area. because of that I could no longer cruise around in my chair around my desk. Happy with the purchase, serves it's purpose and holds to the carpet great.

The mat is as advertised but too thin to be really appropriate for a plush carpet. If your carpets have any depth at all, purchase a thicker mat

It slips on the rug often and will sometimes get tangled up under my chair. I may have to switch to a larger mat.

This mat is thicker than similar mats I;ve had in the past, for the same price range. I normally expect about 3 years of use for these products before cracking/breaking render them in need of replacement so time will tell. Recommended.

I've had this for over a month. The product came wrapped in a cylinder and has yet to flatten out.
