Nankang SP-9 Cross-Sport All-Season Radial Tire - 225/60R16 98V

I used to joke in the 70''s about my friend putting Nankang tires on his motorcycle. ( I had continentals)No comparison, the continentals were far superior.After reading positive reviews on these Nankang tires, I decided to give them a try on my pristine 95 Lexus LS400. After 1000 miles of driving with them, I have NOTHING negative to say about them. Here''s why. First, they're made in Tiawan...using Japanese technology. It shows. They are very quiet and thats very important because my car is so quiet. They are smooth riding and they balanced well. They are very responsive, turn in is quick and it's very difficult to make them squeal even when I'm cornering like I'm in my BMW M3. Impressive! They are V speed rated (up to 150mph) Wet tractiom seems very good, too. No snow yet...but they're all-season rated...soon we'll see! They look good, too. They are rediculously inexpensive! (Could not use the word 'cheap' with these tires) They should last 40k miles. If they last 30k as good as they are, I would still buy them again. No brainer! Don't hesitate to put these SUV designed tires on your car, I promise you, you won't regret it.I was not compensated for this review...they're just such a great value I felt compelled to share my thoughts as an auto enthusiast.Update 1/20/19 Drove them in light snow, they earned their M&S rating on the sidewall.

Functioned very well for the price in snow, dirt, mud, highway. They just don't last, mine are bald after about 30,000 miles. Spend the extra $30 a tire for a warranty twice as long

I’d already had a full set of these, but had to order 1 to replace due to a stray nail entering the sidewall. I only have about 3000 miles on them,(they are on my “play car”) but am very impressed with wet and dry traction. I can’t say about winter traction, as the car gets stored most of the wintertime.

Where do I even begin! I love these tires they have been on my car since I got it, 2-3 tire changes over the 100+k I've put on my car. 1 was due to running over a nail and it replaced both fronts because of it. But wow I am impressed by the traction they give my little cruze in northern Indiana snow! Turns my car into a 4 wheel drive truck and has definitely been the reason I have avoided many many slippery almost accidents! You need these tires more than you knead bread!

I have these on my 1985 Mercedes 300SD and they are great. They balance easily, no vibration whatsoever. W126's are notorious for vibrations from the tires. But there are great. The price is great too. My wheels are staggered with oem 6x15 on the front and oem 8x16 on the back. The wheels are oem Mercedes wheels with the proper hub centric spacers on the rear wheels. I am planning to buy a new set for my other W126 a 1990 300SE with oem 6.5x16 wheels also with the proper hub centric spacers and extended wheel bolts.

About the only thing that I question is how soft the rubber is for an all season tire. Feels more like a summer touring rubber so we will see how many miles I get out of them. Sidewalls seem firm and the tread depth is great. They seem to hold the road pretty well even in heavy rain.

Bought set of 4 in Dec 2018 for my 2005 Impala, figuring not to spend big $$, since the car has nearly 250K (but kept in VG mechanical condition). They mounted and balanced just fine. Drive in western NY, 100+ miles/day, many times 6 days/wk., in ALL kinds of weather. They have about 20K miles on them and in fine condition. No excessive wear, tread & sidewalls in VG condition---smooth, quiet and VG handling in rain, snow and slush. Rotated once, and check tread often for depth and wear. I suspect they easily have another 20-30K left on them and am considering a set for the newer Impala (even though it came with "new" tires). kt

These tires showed up in the time frame. They balanced out to zero and feel excellent. I had to replace two tires but bought all four because the price was just right. Going to go on road trip in November so I should have a few thousand miles by the time I get back. I’ll post an update. Last thing this is a better tire than the cheapest tire at the tire shop which cost more.
