HGTV Solar LED Pathway Lights - 8 Pack

I love these solar lights. The ambient warm white (actually more golden in color) is beautiful in the night, not harsh like the the typical glaring white I see in people's yards. Yes, they cost more than the cheap garden varieties types you may find for a dollar apiece, but they're worth the extra $5 per light for their aesthetic appeal. The starburst effect they create is lovely. I've placed a few in the border of my very dark back yard, a couple in my deck flower boxes, and the others in my gardens. They glow the entire night. So pretty. I must note one of the lights stopped working after a heavy rain. I noticed the solar cap wasn't twisted on tightly, so probably my fault. Nevertheless, I contacted Amazon and they credited me for the faulty light. (I didn't want to return the entire package). That's why I love Amazon.

The media could not be loaded. WOW ..... great product. These things are the best! Glass globes, batteries included in the top cover that also houses the light, gently pull the tab to create contact and the lamp light immediately. Batteries fully changed. sturdy parts.... the 2 "lips" on the top edge of the glass globe twist into place on the top of the globe creating a solid hold on the glass. One lamp had a slightly loose top, before "screwing" on the globe, easily fixed with a dab of superglue. I thought of using caulk to seal that top and globe together to avoid moisture (as I will be putting them along my grass in the back and want to avoid water getting in), but you would need to take the top off to replace the battery. I think these things will last for years. Easy to put together, as with anything, be careful when pushing into the ground, if the dirt is hard do not use the steak to break the ground. I was so excited I couldn't wait for the sun to go down so I could see how they looked!!! Sure wish I could attach the photos because they look AWESOME!!

I would have given five stars, the lights are lovely. But one was defective, which I resolved with Amazon. I wish that the vendor would replace the one light. I want to purchase more for my backyard. The lights are sturdy, metal and glass, the posts are plastic so be careful putting them in the ground.

I bought one set of these and truly loved them so I bought a 2nd set and although they do work great, my second set came with a missing rechargeable battery, a missing battery back clasp and a broken light ( I looked through the entire box to make sure I didn't miss something by accident and I tried five different batteries, rechargeable and non-rechargeable, in the broken light and it never worked. I'm happy with the purchase overall but beware. The box was taped up like someone had used it before, sent it back and I got "sloppy seconds" so to speak. ;) If everything would have been in the box and working, I would have given it five stars for sure but I expect to get what I pay for so I was a little disappointed.The lights put out a nice, low key warm glow in kind of a spiral pattern. Perfect for outdoors and paths.UPDATED 6/3/14: I'll still leave my rating at 3 stars but beware as well of the plastic stakes that go in to the ground to hold the lights. I should have checked on this before I bought them and made sure they were made of some type of metal. If you push to hard or try to straighten/bend the lights a little you can easily snap the plastic stake off at the top. Just a word to the wise, the stakes could be made much sturdier.

The lights look nice and are decent value but their functionality is very poor. The light is dim and they only light up for 3-4 hours after dark. They are in direct sun all day so they should be well recharged by the time darkness falls. The length of time they remain lit for is very short. My previous solar lights were 3 years old and a bit rusty but they held their charge much better than these do. I wouldn't recommend them and I'm getting rid of them.

I was looking for pathway lights with a warm light and these looked perfect, if a little pricey. The glass globe gives them nice heft and they looked great along the walkway. But I was completely disappointed that 2 of the 8 lights did not work! Terrible quality control. One worked for about 4 days and then stopped, and the other only glowed dimly. I removed each battery, reinserted to make sure the connection was tight, but to no avail. I returned them.

Beautiful, everything they advertise is true and they are the brightest best-looking lights I have owned. Now have two sets that hook up with the original light set I got thing those were perfect. These are bigger than most light sets they are black. I have a bronze theme in my front yard and these look great next to the bronze ones. I love the diamond-like look of the light through the glass. My husband calling my lights a landing strip it's so bright. Very expensive Worth every penny. Rained all day and turned them on and all 16 worked perfect on battery. Easy to put together I hop[e they are easy to cut grass around. They were Shipped almost overnight. I was not happy that they are not packed in a extra box, just the box the lights come in. For the expense that they are. Shipping in a protected box seemed most appropriate. All lights arrived undamaged.

These solar pathway lights were more expensive than what I had bought in the past but are clearly way better in construction and looks.The lens is glass or it seems to be and the solar unit on top doesn't have that cheap look like others. I was also pleasantlysurprised by how long they work, mine are lasting 8hrs or more with around 10hrs of daylight. The illumination is not strongor overbearing they provide a great dainty light just perfect for what I wanted them for. One note is that some of the soar headshousing the battery were hard to get off to remove the battery insulator but that would be the only negative I have experienced.
