Nice, large piece and thick
Works great as filter in bait tank for shad.

Saved a lot of money.
Using this in place of carbon filters which kept eating my money. It works well for me since I do weekly partial water changes and rinse out the sponge. Been using the same sponge for a couple of months with no sign of degradation whatsoever.

Excellent tank divider
Cut to size, I used these as dividers to create shrimp nano tanks. 50 ppi ensures the fry don't get through and I'm able to maintain perfect water parameters. I will absolutely utilize this method in the future and recommend it for that purpose.I read a lot of reviews before purchasing and based on the complaints about it fully expanding, I did my own thing and it worked great. Yes, when they arrive, they're vacuum packed and rock hard. They don't just expand when exposed to air nor when you try to pry it apart so patience is key. What worked for me was filling the tub with water and submerging them (I got 2) and then stretching them out gently a little at a time over the course of the day. In the beginning I filled containers and sat them on top to keep them submerged but when they were ready, they were perfect. I squeezed out all of the tub water possible, placed them between some towels and pressed until they were dry. Cut to size and then soaked in a bucket of tank water for a few hours before setting up so it wouldn't offset the water parameters.

Works well
I was worried because I saw reviews that you have to peel it apart. It is vacuum sealed. I opened the package and tossed it in a one gallon pitcher with warm water. I sat a bottle of Prime on top of the filter to hold it in the water. Five minutes later and it was perfect. I cut it up and it's in my tank.

Perfect for sectioning big tanks!
I bought one too many, but am absolutely hanging on to it!Easy to cut to size with a simple razor knife. Measure twice! Straight edge. Cut once. These come vacuum sealed!! So be ready to let them soak for a while to get them out flat. Instructions say to soak for 12-24hrs and in a container large enough. (I also didn't want to wait that long.)Well... I have no containers that big or that fish safe. I used my wood boiling pot in my bathtub and moved them around every 45 min or so. Soaked for two hours. Laid out a clean towel on my dryer and left them to dry for a day or so. (DID NOT TURN ON MY DRYER.)Leave them to dry out for longer (a few days or more) if you're planning to store the extra pieces for other purposes. They take forever to completely dry out.

Futuristic!! You get to rehydrate it first!
Comes vacuum sealed and dehydrated into a consolidate mass that looks like nothing so much as an oversized, compressed turd. You need to soak it in water and pry it apart bit by bit, and then wait a while for it to get back to its approximate original (advertised) size and shape. In all seriousness, I wasn't shocked to get it this way, having recently had a firm mattress delivered to me in a roll form that seemed more the size of an exercise mat than a queen sized bed. The product is fine, if overpriced. Not loving the inconvenience of having to reconstitute what I just overpaid for, though.

Nice sponges
I use this material to put in the back of my aquarium filters. Lasts so much longer than those premade things. I'll be keeping with this if I even ever do have to buy more. So far, the original I put in is going strong in all 5 of my tanks. When I change the water, I simple squeeze this out in the bucket of old aquarium water and put it back to keep the beneficial bacteria going.

No complaints
It arrived vacuum packed as described. I followed the instructions and soaked it overnight, dried it then cut into shape. No problem. Basic instructions are included and its a good product.

Bon produit conforme description

Great
This is virtually the same as I’m replacing so that’s great. I’m glad I read the reviews before buying because mine didn’t come with any instructions so I wouldn’t have known to soak it, it had also partly escaped its packaging so wasn’t fully squished, for those reasons I’m only giving it a four star, the product itself seems decent quality
