This distiller is perfect for my needs.
I’ve had it for 5 days and have processed 7 gallons of distilled water taking about 4 hours for each gallon. I didn’t care for the included jug idea because when the process was complete I then had to get out a funnel and pour it into a gallon jug. I eliminated this step by running 3/8” OD ¼” ID clear plastic tubing (Farm Fleet) from the spigot to my water jug. I drilled a 3/8” hole in a jug lid so the tube would stay put. Also a smaller hole for air to vent as the jug fills. **** OK **** this may not work for everyone’s needs because of the plastic tubing touching the water. I ONLY use my water for my humidifier and diffusers. If you do this be sure to heat the end of the tubing up with hot water so it goes on the spigot easier. The spigot area seems like it could be easily damaged when pushing to get the tube on. This isn’t an intended modification for this product work gently.Things to note: The fan does sound like a microwave, fairly loud. I run mine in the kitchen so from the other rooms you can’t hear it. The fan is pushing out air that I have measured at 117 degrees F. This is perfect for Midwest winters distilled water and a little extra heat. After auto shut off be sure to let it cool down before disassembling!! If you open it too soon it will blow out a large plume steam and it is HOT! I know as I got over anxious once but never ever again.I have not used the I have cleaned mine after every gallon by adding enough vinegar to cover the bottom. I haven’t really had to let it soak I just use a silicone sponge on the entire inside then rinse well. Be sure to check and clean the top. There is a very little build up of minerals on the bottom. I’m sure a person could do a few gallons before a cleaning. For me it’s easy, it’s in the kitchen, I just do it each time. Hoping that it will last for a couple years. At least 96 gallons so it pays for itself. This distiller does exactly what it supposed to do. Very simple to use. I was paying a buck a gallon at the store so this will save some money and not having to haul 10 gallons out of the store to home each week. I am very pleased with this purchase no regrets at all.

Updated review - cracked container repaced by company.
Updat 9/20/2024- customer service contacted me and replaced the jug. The machine is working great and no more pooling of water!Used it about 10 times and the container already cracked or was cracked and got worse. So it's unusable. Contacted company and no response. Will initiate return.

So far, so good.
Works fine, simple, reliable. I have used this distiller once a week for 10 months now. No issues, easy to clean. A timer is essential for making this a quick cleanup job when done. I set my external timer for 3:35 and when it shuts off, there will be about 1/2" of water and sediment left. This keeps the bottom from burning all the left over sediment and making a mess. I can just dump the remaining water and then wipe it clean with a paper towel. This distiller would get 5 stars if it had a built in timer. Picture is from 10 months of use, no cleaning with chemicals, just wipe it out with a paper towel.

It's great. Don't crack it.
It's everything I hoped for. The only reason I'm writing this review is because so many people say it cracks easily. The reason it cracks is because people are pouring cold water into it while it is still hot. If you don't do that, it won't crack. Just let it rest for 15 to 30 minutes after it gets done before you try to start another batch.

If you have tap water you need this.
Unbelievable how much sediment is left fro a single gallon of water. I use this daily and clean it after each run. Works great. Water comes out clean and pure. Glass carafe reduces microplastics that you get from bottled water.

Love!
I love this distiller. Easy to use. The stainless steel with glass water catcher looks really nice, and feels to be very good quality. I debated getting one in general, but can say it was a fantastic choice - so much easier than buying plastic gallons from the store. I use this to fill my humidifier each night and now I don’t worry about being stingy on water, because I can just make my own :)Cleaning is very easy - follow the instructions on the back of the cleaning salt (or whatever it is) that comes with it. Don’t scrub it - it doesn’t work and will probably just scratch it. I put in the hot water, then the salt, then turn it on with the lid off for a bit. Then just gently run a soft scrub brush over it and everything comes right off.Put a paper towel roll for size. Not small but definitely not terrible.Great value for the price!

An exceptional tool for your Garden
I personally bought this product to use to create water for my humidifier. I primarily use my humidifier for my plants, a recent hobby I've been able to start after years of battling cancer, and this device has been essential! Distilled Water can be pricey sometimes and since I'm disabled... Carrying large jugs of distilled water from Point A to Point B, with Point A being the store and B being home, this has saved me a lot of trouble, backache, labor, and, in the long-run, money. The process to create the distilled water can take a bit, as it takes hours, depending on how much water you create, but it's definitely worth it.It's VERY important that you know to NEVER drink the first gallon the machine makes. The manual states that the first gallon is categorized for the machine to clean itself (making the water inedible). I didn't trust it enough to put in my humidifier, the first gal at least, and used it to water a tree. But the gallons after have been great! And while the distilled water isn't primarily for my consumption, I have had some of the water since and the taste is pretty clear! The only drawback, to me, personally, is that there seems to be a buildup on the bottom that was created immediately after first use. Something tells me it's the minerals in the water that's been left behind? Not sure. I haven't owned it long enough to run a cleaning mode instance again... But it doesn't seem to affect the taste of the water one bit. Just, optically, makes me wish it looked pristine. But this drawback isn't enough for me to make it 4 stars and so I've left it at 5. Because, truly, it's pretty cool.

Unit not heating
I have used more expensive water distillers of the same size and general look that have heated to a very high temperature such that when the water drips out of the spout it is very hot. This unit simply was warm to the touch on the outside container when dispensing the water - though the water drops coming out were cool, and not hot whatsoever.
