Great miniature with a planned encounter.
Steamforge Games have created something great with their Epic Encounters series, providing either a single 'gargantuan' boss miniature or a group of 20ish normal sized 'minion' miniatures with a guided encounter and map. I'll call it an encounter because if you want an adventure here you need to do a bit of work with it to provide some background, although it does provide a selection of potential story hooks. But the actuall battle encounter, particularly for the 'boss' boxes, is well guided with surprises, lair effects and tactics to really give your players a run for their money!The Dragon Turtle miniature here is fantastic, beautifully detailed and a real pleasure to paint and there's plenty of ideas for running the encounter. The price is very good too, much better than some of the other miniature offerings on the market and with more value added. A great addition to a campaign or as a high-powered one-shot.
