Very bright slim LED batten!
Saw these used in a YT video to light a loft which is something I wanted to do. Bought the 4 foot version. The LED batten is slim, lightweight and very bright. Wiring up was easy although it would be better if the short wire from inside the batten exited one end of the fitting rather than it doubling back underneath itself. This isnt a problem but may stop the batten being completely flush mounted on a flat surface and I prefer wires not to be trapped underneath a fitting. The fixings supplied do the job if screwing to a flat surface but not so good if you wanted to suspend the batten from a rafter or ceiling. These will be ideal in a garage, loft oroutbuilding with mains power where you want to see what you're doing. The 4 foot one fully lights my large loft area (4 bed house). They are very bright (I mean bright!) so if you wanted to use these in a living room, the shorter 2 foot version may be better.

Easy to install
Fitted these in two sheds and they do the trick perfectly. Easy to install and wire and are bright enough not to need any other lighting.

Bright and white - but flimsy
The review from "The Man Who Tries" is spot on. This is a bright, white light. It weighs about the same as a packet of crisps - which is just as well, as the brackets that hold it to the ceiling are flimsy.I ordered a 5' version. It came with two brackets, two 1" screws and two wall plugs. The brackets have three screw holes, so you could fix to your ceiling with more than one screw if you wanted. The first photo shows the bracket in its final position attached to the light. The spring 'ears' simply clip into the channels that run lengthwise. The 'ears' actually deform the channel a little. The issues with the light are:1. It is designed for flush mounting to a ceiling. However, the end caps are held in place by two small round-head screws (which I have removed in the photos). The presence of these screws mean that the two ends of the light sit proud of the ceiling by around 2mm.2. Getting the light to clip onto the two brackets is - to put it mildly - a faff, and is not helped by the ends of the light being kept off the ceiling by the aforementioned screws. An earlier reviewer recommended not tightening the bracket fully against the ceiling - and I had to do this too.3. The cable comes out along one of the channels and is designed to go through a hole in your ceiling. There is nowhere to put a chocolate-block connector for example. In my case (garage ceiling) my wiring is in conduit on the ceiling itself. Using a stanley knife, I found it possible to cut a small notch out of the long edge of the lamp to allow the cable to emerge from the channel. It may be possible to reverse the direction that the cable exits the end cap but I chickened out of this approach as the end cap did not pull off the lamp easily.4. In this 5' model, the cable was about 50cm long. This is fine if your fixed wiring ends at one end of the light. It won't be fine if you want your light central to your fixed wiring. The light has not fallen off the ceiling overnight.

Fabulous lights, terrible fixing brackets
First the light units are extremely fragile so take great care. Each light comes with two extremely sharp edged and difficult to fit/secure brackets. There are three fixing holes in each bracket; you get two screws and two wall plugs for each light. After spending what appeared a lifetime trying to get the bracket secured to the light I reverted to the following;1) Only use the centre hole, do not tighten the screw too much as you need the bracket to move, that will give you leverage to get one side of the bracket under in the inner edge of the light unit, the other side of the bracket just pings into place.2) The brackets are not strong, but the light units are very light in weight. If securing to a ceiling or flat surface you will need to drill a hole to feed the pre-installed two core power cable.Once secured, power on, the lights then have a protective film that can be seen and removed, don’t pull too much as that might dislodge the light from its fixings!I purchased a set of three for my double garage, replacing an out of date fluorescent, the difference is amazing, the light quality is comparable to daylight.Over come the zero installation/fixing instructions, as well as the horrible brackets, you will then have an extremely pleasing light unit.Good luck.

Very neat fitting
This is a very tidy light fitting. It is extremely light in weight so can be fitted to almost any surface. The only downside as far as I'm concerned is that it is supplied with a short ( roughly 150mm) lead. When mounted, there is insufficient clearance to allow this lead to be routed out of the side of the fitting. (It is presumably intended to be mounted over a back box but I didn't have that option.) Providing a thinner lead or additional clearance would make the unit more versatile. Also, given the weight of the unit, the mounting clips are ridiculously strong.Having complained about the above, this is a good unit which provides plenty of light somewhere in the spectrum between warm white and cool white.

Great for outbuilding
Perfect for an outbuilding. Very easy to install and gives plenty of light.Very light weight so wouldn't stand being knocked about, but if it's out of the way on the ceiling this shouldn't be a problem.
