Edited!!! :-/
Editing after two weeks....does not work!!!!My dog can care less about the warnings or shock. I’m hoping I will be able to return it and purchase another collar that WORKS! I’m disappointed...the first few days were great and now it’s not working.Works exactly as specified and is better quality then i expected. I’m very happy with this purchase. This is the first evening my German Shepherd has been quiet in weeks!! Don’t hesitate, buy this bark collar!

I am beyond annoyed with this product
I am beyond annoyed with this product! It worked great for about two weeks and then worked intermittently for another 2 - 2 1/2 weeks...and now, it doesn't work at ALL!!! It doesn't vibrate and it doesn't emit a sound when my dog barks. I've charged it, increased the intensity, made the collar a little tighter so it sits at the base of my dog throat and zero, zip, zilch, nada, nothing. And now, I am beyond the return window so I am stuck with this piece of garbage. I find it funny how it is not working just a little bit past the return window. Buyer beware!!!

Works for barking, but false-triggers
False triggers frequently whenever my dog shakes her head, even after turning the sensitivity all the way down.

The bark collar started off working wonderfully. After a few days though
The bark collar started off working wonderfully. After a few days though, it didn’t vibrate and make a sound when our dog was barking—it instead went off at inappropriate moments like when I was playing with her or when the neighbor dog barked. It’s a good thing we didn’t turn the shock option on! We’ve tried everything since then to get it working when our dog barks, but it’s the only time I can guarantee it won’t go off now. I really wanted to love this collar, and for a few days I did, but it looks like we are back to the drawing board.

Quite a few things to consider w/ this collar...
Worked the 1st time to stop barking/howling when I go out the front door & leave my furball inside. Would give it 5 stars except that it has a shock feature that I'm not going to ever use & hope other pet owners don't either. I don't want my dog afraid of the thing, just get her attn & distract her barking behavior. I have a long & very thick haired 60 lb dog. This collar is very sensitive so level 4 was MORE than enough vibration & buzzing for her. Probably could knock the sensitivity down to 3 & do just as good a job. It has seperate push buttons for 3 individual settings (sound- shock- vibration) so I can set each of those 3 things to the level that works best for my dog. I can use a combination of sound & vibration while leaving the shock button set at zero (off), which is what I'm doing. I can set each button from 0-7 with 0 being off, 1 being least sensitive (so it takes a lot louder bark to set it off) & 7 being most sensitive (so even wimpering or jumping might set it off). I flip the collar upside down on my dog so the 2 hard prongs (not removable- but do have rounded heads which might help a little) aren't poking my dogs throat & I'm not about to shock her anyway! The whole box vibrates & she can feel that w/o prongs. I love that it is so individually adjustable for all the settings & not tying all 3 together into the same sensitivity level. I also love that it's so effective w/o the shock feature! Tried it on another dog & worked instantly for her too, & w/ only level 3 & no shock. I've tried several other no- bark vibration/sound collars that failed because they were barely audible or hardly vibrated even if they did give off a good sound warning. This collar is a winner (but wish it was sold w/o shock feature) for dogs over 25 lbs. I wouldn't want to put it on a little dog tho because it does really poke against the throat unless you put it on upside down (prongs pointed away from dog) like I do; & also because I think it would be too scarey for little dogs. The instruction pamphlet lists med. dogs 24-66lbs as maltese & shih tzu; & large dogs 68-88 lbs as mini schnauzer & pekingese. I beg to differ!! If I saw a 68-88 lb pekingese I'd be calling Guiness Book people!!!! Maltese are under 10 lbs & I have yet to see any shih tzu 24-66 lbs! Little dogs are known for developing progressive & life threatening & irreversible tracheal issues including collapsed tracheas. Please don't use any pronged or strong vibrating or tight fitting collars on little dogs! I think this collar is made in China or someplace where the translation to english has confused them & their dog breed/size chart is really flawed & needs to be disregarded! Common sense & treating your dog lovingly will be a bigger help in finding the most suitable way to use this collar w/o harming or scaring your pet into a traumatized & neurotic bundle of fear. I'm really impressed w/ this collar for dogs ovee 25 lbs tho. It looks & feels well made & the settings & actual functions are well thought out & done right where other collars have failed miserably. Of course I can't speak for the shock function since I'm against that totally & won't even try it out to review that part of the collar. The nylon is lightweight but it is effective for what it does & can be used on dogs much larger than my 60 lb girl. Should fit a 100 lb rottie or larger dog fine. It's easily adjusted for size & I doubled the extra up into the sizing buckle things so it wouldn't slip & loosen up & stayed the size I wanted it to be. I could only do that because the nylon is lightweight, so I considered that another plus. This also allows me to save the full length of the strap w/o cutting the extra off & therefore I can always use it on very different size dogs in yrs to come.

This collar is great! I've owned a similar one and is night/day compared to this one and was uncertain if was even working as should so I bought this and glad I did. It definitely has made a difference in curtailing my dog's barking.Great quality. I love that this is rechargeable and the charge lasts a long time. I have yet to recharge it even once in over 2 weeks and is still at level 6 of 7 (though I only have it on my dog about 2-4 hours a day). My other bark collar didn't have an on/off button and went through batteries like rain in Seattle. The vibration is what really gets my dog to curtail her barking. She hates it. As a result, I don't even think I need the shock feature but have it on its lowest setting (level 1 of 7) as a precaution. My other bark collar didn't even have the vibration feature, only the shock option. And by the way, I tried on myself how the shock feels and WOW it is pretty strong when I tried it at level 3 of 7. So for a small dog that must really hurt.Great product. Works and recommended without a doubt.* (And by the way, as someone asked earlier but was not answered correctly - the clear piece shown in picture is an electrode tester that you put over the shock prongs to test functionality. It will light up to show collar is working properly when pressed on the two electrodes at the same time while blowing through the tiny barking sensor.) *

Completely ineffective and possibly dangerous
I got 2 of these and only used them a handful of times due to the following issues. I am not sure if one was defective or they just don't hold up well to being on active dogs, but one of them within a couple of weeks shorted out (or malfunctioned) WHILE my dog was wearing it. I saw her spazz out for no reason and I had to immediately catch her and pin her down and remove the collar. Since then, I haven't used them, and my dogs are terrified at the sight of them. The instructions that come with the collars are very insufficient. Definitely a Chinese quality product. I don't recommend these at all. If I hadn't already kept them for too long, I would return them. The collar itself is kind of a cheap nylon material with a plastic clasp and the box is a little too heavy/cumbersome for the quality of the collar. Just an overall sub-par quality product.
