Smells good; Lathers great!
This soap smells so good and lathers quickly with a body loofah or rag. It is gentle enough for our toddler and keeps his skin soft and hydrated. Doesn’t dry out our skin or cause any irritations.

Good as shower gel, not so good as shampoo
I first tried this as a shampoo. The brown color was kinda strange. But, I like the pearlized look of it. It lathers well, and smells nice. Though, it felt like it stripped everything from my hair. I could feel this, even as I rinsed it out of my hair. So, I put conditioner in my hair, and rinsed again, before getting out of the shower. I had a hard time getting the brush through my hair. It usually combs very easily after I've used conditioner. But, not this time. It still felt like it needed to be conditioned. Once my hair was completely dry, it didn't feel overly dry. But, I don't like the stripped feeling it gave, even after being conditioned, too. I didn't care much for it as a shampoo. But, it's fine as a shower gel. It didn't dry out my skin or cause any irritation. Though, it didn't provide any extra moisturization. I hoped it might, because of the shea butter and coconut. I didn't really expect it to, after my experience with it as a shampoo. I haven't tried it on my face, because I have sensitive skin. I'm prone to rashes and eczema breakouts. I'll probably just use it as a shower gel, since I like the scent.

very good product, problem with the bottle
I have used this soap in a few different ways, and i like the product. It is gentle for hair-washing; it was effective for me, and made my kids' hair feel soft, and even had a bit of detangling effect for my daughter's fine hair. I also like it as a face cleanser, and body wash. You could use it for shaving, or just keep it by the sink for hands and face. It is very creamy, and if you have to wash your hands frequently, this would be a great option for winter months. It feels moisturizing.I especially appreciate the pleasant, subtle, natural smell. I think it smells a bit like shea, or like a faint lotion smell. It doesn't smell perfumed or like chemical fragrance, and it isn't strongly scented. The reason i took off a couple stars -- see the photos. In a box with multiple items, it leaked. I do not blame shipping for this because nothing was banged up, and the bottle wasn't cracked and did not have a loose lid. The lid is just not well designed. Even after you clean off the top completely and make sure it is on tightly, product sometimes oozes out the top just by pumping it for use. Also, in the bottom of the bottle there is some white clumps. I am pretty sure it is coconut oil that did not get blended in all the way when it was manufactured. Even by shaking, i can't get it to mix in, so the white clumps remain in the bottle, settled on the bottom.

I love this soap!
I love black African soap, but this liquid form was made for me. Black African soap is multipurpose, so having it in liquid makes it easier to use. A little goes a long way, so this bottle has lasted me for sometime. The scent is not unpleasant nor too strong and I like that.

Wholesome Soap
I recently tried the Mitchell Brands African Liquid Black Soap with Coconut, and while I found some great things about it, there were also a few drawbacks. One of the best things about this product is the nice pump bottle, which makes it easy to dispense the soap. Additionally, I appreciate the pure and wholesome ingredients, which makes it a good choice for those who are looking for more natural products. The soap also lathers nicely and cleans very well, which is great for daily use. However, I was not a fan of the scent of this soap. It has a "unique" smell that I didn't particularly care for. Additionally, I found that it left my skin feeling dry after use, which was a bit disappointing. While it does clean well, it would be nice if it left my skin feeling more moisturized.Overall, I would recommend Mitchell Brands African Liquid Black Soap with Coconut if you're looking for a natural and effective soap that cleans well. However, be aware that the scent may not be to your liking, and it may leave your skin feeling a bit dry. Here are the ingredients:Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Kernel Oil, Turmeric Extract, Theobroma (Cacao Pod) Ash, Lauryl Glucoside, Potassium Hydroxide, and Coconut Fragrance
