Guitar for small hands - Oscar Schmidt OG1-A-U 3/4-Size Acoustic Guitar - Natural
I chose this on the basis of the size of the fretboard since I have small hands. However, I didn't count on the body being larger than I expected but I should have also checked this out. (I'm a small woman, only 5 ft tall) It does have a very nice sound so I'll keep it.

Classy Small Dreadnought
Classy looking small dreadnought. A nice travel guitar or good for smaller players. Good price. Plays nicely and sounds good.

Product not what is pictured
Product not what is pictured. Does not have pick guard. Has white trim vs black. Specifically called company to verify pick guard, which they said it did and when received did not. Sides and back are painted so cannot see any wood grain. Once again other sites show pictures with grain. Not sure if this a newer version or what. Pictures from other websites had inlay/decal design similar to front running down back and on bottom. Mine did not. It does sounds good. Good base, sustain, midrange, volume. Better than Taylor, Martin or Yamaha 3/4 versions in my opinion. Came with strings very loose, lot of buzzing in first and second string. Once tuned sounds great, but action is a little high and difficult for my daughter to play, but no longer buzzing. Tried adjusting truss, even with almost flat neck still a little high for her. Possibly need different strings, nut adjustment. 2 of the strings had a little rust on them. Finish is very nice, high gloss. Rosewood is very nice on neck. Tuners seem to be of better quality. Stays in tune very well except for 4th string. Looks to be well constructed, finish consistent with no swirls throughout. Bridge not glued completely on ends, does not look like it will be a problem though.Prior to purchase was concerned with 1.5" nut. I had never held one before and was worried about the nut size. Played Martin, Baby Taylor, Yamaha JR1 3/4 did not like sound. So took chance on this one. It is to small for me to play and even with my daughters small hands she has to be very precise as there is not much room between strings. She has never played before and with the action, narrow nut she has become a little frustrated and loses interest easily.
