Glad I decided to buy this hoop.
I'd been on the fence for quite a while about buying this hoop as I'd seen both good and bad reviews on it with regards to how it would fit on my machine, which is the Brother PE770. Some said it didn't fit at all, others said they had to file the attachment to get it to work and some were able to put it on with no trouble at all. I received mine earlier today and just put it on my machine and I fall firmly in the "went on without any trouble" category. In fact, this hoop went on much easier than the original one that came with my machine.I haven't had a chance to stitch out anything yet, but I took the time to hoop some of the heavier fabrics I work with... cotton velveteen, wool flannel and featherwale corduroy...and I was able to snug everything up easily and to my satisfaction and the magnets held the fabrics very well.I'm a super happy camper at the moment and I'm looking forward to stitching out all kinds of goodies using this hoop.

Do not waste your money
I bought this for my wife. She has a Brother PE770 machine. The hoop leaves the material loose by the bracket that holds it to the machine. I checked it there are no magnets in the area where the frame narrows next to the mounting bracket. ! It relies on the magnets above it and below it to hold the fabric. It is not enough. You will have loose fabric where there are no magnets. They should have magnets all around. Much too expensive for a non satisfactory product. I'm sorry I ever bought it.

Why did I wait so long!
W❤️W! No more struggling with this hoop. I debating for years because of the price, reviews and fears of the hoop being too much drag in the machine. I bought the 5x7 for my pe770 and it fit perfectly! I definitely will purchase an 8” for my D2!

Does NOT fit Brother Innov-is 1200 as described
I was very disappointed that the Snap Hoop Monster LM6 did not fit my Brother Innov-is 1200 as described in the details. After comparing it to my original Brother 5x7 plastic hoop, it was clear that the bracket metal on the Snap Hoop Monster was quite a bit thicker. This explains why it wouldn't slide into position or snap in place.I contacted Designs in Machine Embroidery and they discovered that they had a problem with their manufacturer on this specific hoop.Amazon was GREAT with handling the return and refund. My issue is NOT with Amazon... rather my negative review is for the actual product and Designs in Machine Embroidery.

Great Product That Needs Some Fine Tuning on Quality Control
I LOVE the ease of use this hoop provides and how it keeps my quilt sandwich and other projects secure without the hoop burn. It is so less frustrating than hooping in the traditional hoop. With the traditional hoop, I always have to resort to painters tape or two-sided tape to keep my project from shifting (as expensive as these hoops are , you would think this would not be a problem). With the monster hoop, I know my project is secure on all four sides....no tape required. I would give it a five star rating except that it does not lock securely into place on my Brother PE-770. At times, the Hoop Monster pops out of the embroidery unit while stitching. It especially pops out when the weight of my lap quilt sandwich and the frame is in the most forward position. It also pops out when I try to make slight adjustments to my hooping prior to stitching. The metal lock frame seems to be too thick and prevents you from getting a secure lock into the embroidery unit. Better quality control would turn this review into a five star.
