Sam Edelman Women's Tinsley Rain Boot

I really, really love these boots. I live in the Pacific Northwest where it rains pretty heavily October through May (at least) and walk/use public transport to get to and from work, so having good rain gear is imperative. Traditional rain boots are clunky, usually heavy, and almost always pretty ugly, so I'm delighted to have found these! After wearing them in the rain & doing quite a bit of walking in them, here are my thoughts.Fit: They fit true to size but don't leave much extra room for bulky socks. Like most rain boots they aren't warm, so if you're planning on wearing them in cold weather I'd recommend sizing up to accommodate thick socks.Comfort: The elastic gore makes them easy to walk in, since unlike many other rain boots I've owned they flex at the ankle easily. They're lightweight, which makes them great for walking without fatigue. However, there is practically no padding under the ball of the foot, which caused me a lot of pain. I replaced the insoles with a pair of trimmed down orange Superfeet (the ones with extra padding) which took care of that issue and now they're perfectly comfortable! No rubbing or blisters anywhere, even after walking in them for hours.Looks: I love the way these look. I ordered them in the glossy blue color, which is darker than I thought it would be but in fact very true to the image. The design is great, very cute & sleek, so I feel fine wearing them to work. I even like the placement of the rubber seams, which are discretely down the sides instead of smack in the middle down the front. The loop at the back of the heel makes them easy to get on.Water resistance: Works just like it should! I didn't have any issues with leaks or water coming down the top. Clearly you're limited in the depth of puddles you can walk through (the elastic gore isn't waterproof) but for walking in the city, on gravel trails, college campuses, etc. these work perfectly.Overall, I definitely recommend these, especially if you have small or delicate feet (like me) and need a lighter, more flexible rain boot, or if you're just looking for a more fashionable rain boot! I also recommend replacing the insole with something more comfortable & supportive.

These shoes are PERFECT. I'd been wanting the Jeffrey Campbell Forecast Rain booties forever but after waiting for them to come into stock in black for almost 5 months, it seemed it wasn't going to happen. JC came out with another rain boot, the 'Stormy' that maybe was supposed to replace the discontinued Forecast boots but are apparently much worse quality and not as thin and tapered as the Forecast. So, I decided to find another pair and after reading the reviews across the internet, I decided to try these out and fell in love.These boots are so casual and classic that even on a non-rainy day they look sleek and cool. Normally rain boots are something you would only wear because of rain but I literally wear these whenever I want to rain or shine. They're especially great to wear at night in spill prone environments (ha). The style is thin and narrow and tapers to a more pointed toe (not super pointy though dw!). The ankles are also very narrow, which picky me absolutely loved because it's so hard to find a good fitted ankle in a lot of boots. The inside has a nice cushion and gives great support while walking. Also, you have to wear socks with these because the cushion sole in the shoe isn't actually glued to the bottom of the shoe and is easily removed while pulling out bare feet (found this out when I tried them on at home). I'm still breaking them in a bit especially in the slightly narrower toe area but I still can pretty comfortably wear them around all day and be fine. Trust me, this is a must have staple!

I really like these boots! I ordered them in the matte sangria color and like other reviewers said you almost can't tell they are rain boots. They are really stylish! I found the fit to be a little large - I'm a true 9.5 but since they didn't have half sizes, I sized up. They are still comfortable though and the extra room alllows me to wear thicker socks.I walked in these as I would on an average day and found them to be comfortable. Luckily these arrived the day before heavy rains so I was able to test them out walking through puddles and they got pretty wet. My feet stayed dry though despite the heavy rains which is what I wanted! I purchased these with an upcoming trip to Europe in mind so I may need to update after doing extensive walking.One other thing was that I found the top of the ankle part of the boot to be extremely irritating against bare skin as other reveiwers have said. I ended up having to adjust my socks so the boot wouldn't rub and that did the trick.Overall - great boot for the price and perfect for someone looking to stay dry without compromising style.

I have purchased several pairs of Sam Edelman shoes in the past, and have always felt they run very small, so I was a little apprehensive to buy these since I normally wear a 7.5-8, and all that were available were whole sizes. I would have preferred to get an 8.5 so I could wear them with thick socks, but I took a risk and got an 8 because they were just too cute and the price was unbelievable. But when I received them I was pleasantly surprised that they actually fit! Even with thick socks! My only noticeable critique would be that the leg opening rubs my ankle/calf a bit and I can imagine it would chafe and get irritating without socks or leggings. That being said, I only intend to wear these with long pants and socks so it shouldn't be an issue (and hasn't been for me yet) The olive green color is so pretty and actually pretty neutral, I could see it being paired with lots of different looks. The boots themselves are also very comfortable, and most importantly, they're waterproof! Ran around town all day running errands in a rainstorm and my socks and feet stayed dry the whole time! Very happy with this purchase!

I'm normally a size 6 to 6.5 so I ordered a 6 thinking it would fit okay but forgot that boots tend to fit better if they're a size bigger. Returned for a size 7 and now it fits great! It's not something you can wear all day because there's no way for moisture to escape so your feet are pretty sweaty. Overall they're great rain boots.

I love these black rainboots! They're not clunky and they look like leather ankle boots. So stylish! They fit narrow. I am a size 6.5 and found the 7 fit. It's best to wear higher socks because I find the tops dig into my skin. Might also be because they're brand new.

I have gotten SO many compliments on these boots. They are the perfect size for a Canadian spring. Super comfortable, some reviews said that the back rubbed their ankle, but I haven’t had a problem and always wear them with my jeans rolled up. Of course the colour is hard to hide scuff marks, and being rainboots, they don’t breathe at all, but serve their purpose!
