Mason Jar Vacuum Sealer, Jar Sealer and Accessory Hose for Foodsaver, Food Storage Vacuum Sealer Jar Attachment Kit with Lid Opener for Wide-Mouth & Regular-Mouth Mason Jar

We had a previous version of these units. They are handy for sealing things in regular mouth and wide mouth jars, especially freeze-dried food. The old version worked but the rubber gasket would come out and had to be reinstalled every time you removed the sealing lid. Then they got an air leak, and did not work well. These new ones go on easily, stay together, and can be taken off at the end of the vacuum cycle quite easily, and they don't come apart. Highly recommended.

This kit is great for any small sealing project that you don’t have to use your large sealer for. It works great as expected.

I have a model FM2900 FoodSaver which has a redesigned accessory port that the hose with this kit doesn’t fit. If your FoodSaver machine came with a straight tip accessory hose (circled in black) this will work as is. If it came with the new tip (circled in red), you’ll need to buy a different accessory hose, or customer service at FoodSaver will send you one.

I bought this and had to send it back because I didn't pay attention to what I was doing. There is nothing wrong with this product. I order the other kit that i meant to order in the first place. I wanted the manual hand pump just in case my vacuum sealer went on the blink.

Great for short term storage..

The hose that comes in the box did not work for me for my foodsaver. It doesn't seem to create the seal at the hose to the accessory port. So I grabbed my factory accessory hose that came with my foodsaver and stuck it over the hole for this jar sealer. I can now feel the bond and now the lid sticks to the jar! The jar sealer does work so I am satisfied.

Living in the country means storing most of my dry goods in glass jars to keep the mice and bugs out, so when I ran across this idea of vacuum sealing my jars to keep the contents inside fresher and more shelf stable, I jumped at the chance to buy this. So far I like the design of this jar sealer over many of the ones I've seen. However, if you are like me and have many storage jars that aren't mason jars, even if the canning lids fit, the jar sealer might not work on them. I have several wide mouth jars that aren't mason jars and jar sealer didn't work with them. Everything else worked beautifully and I'm looking forward the vacuum sealing more of my jars.

Do not purchase!!!! It does not seal as tight as the food saver brand. I just missed the return window. The product does NOT give a tight seal. I can open the jar with hands after sealing it with this attachment. When using the food saver brand mason jar sealer you cannot open the jar with your hands because the suction is so tight. I am NOT happy with this product at all. I will be calling Amazon to see if they can extend my return period, as the product does not work as described.Update: seller contacted me and said I used the accessory incorrectly. I did not. I compared this brand jar sealer to the original Food Saver jar sealer using the same jar and lid. The Food Saver brand accessory worked significantly better.

I bought this product with much excitement after turning into a homesteader and diving into preserving. Problem is, this item didn’t work :(

I carefully checked the compatibilities because I've been burnt before.... and it doesn't fit

Easy to use. But it is an accessory for a table top vacuum sealer. The vacuum sealer that I ordered had missing parts so I returned it. In order to fit inside the 30-day return window, I returned this also. I think it would have worked well. I could not try it out.
