Can't fault them at all, an absolute steal
Genuinely blown away by these earphones. I had RHA T20i's before this (originally cost me 3x as much), and for the all the detail they had, and verging on insane build quality, i realised i also found them insanely boring to listen to (slightly better through a macbook pro or amp - but i bought them for portability). These on the other hand retain the detail, but with a much fuller low end - but not one that overstates itself. The texture and detail in the bass is great - my daily drivers are FAD Pandora Hope VIs and right now i feel like the the e80s even pull out a bit of detail in the lows that the pandoras miss. Listening yesterday i found myself focused on the bass guitar lines, and just how real to life the tone felt. They're also capable of going as low and rumbling as you could want. Just make sure you get a good seal! They are quite bright on the top end, but i prefer that personally. The mids sound just incredible at times - plenty of air, soundstage and the rest. Without doubt the best in-ears i've ever heard. Build quality seems perfectly fine, they're quite unassuming all in all. So many earbuds to choose from in the box plus the comply tips (x3 - i personally am not a fan, they make sound too closed in to me but know plenty like them).Anyone looking for something that lets them get into audiophile territory at a, to be honest, steal, will be very happy with these.I'm scoping out some monoprice planar 1060s next, i'm really liking this coming approach of making outstanding audio products at a fraction of the competition mainstays, the market needs it! Maybe soundmagic should turn their hand in that direction too :D

Great sound with minor reservations
Not usually a user of in ear phones but needed a decent pair for my FiiO X3ii that I could bundle into a pocket quickly. Initial listens were very disappointing and I almost consigned them to the back of the drawer as they seemed harsh, tinny, and completely bass-less. Tried all the supplied tips but they didn't make any difference to the sound. I tried an old pair of Grain Audio in ear phones and they sounded fantastic on the X3 - so, in desperation I tried the tips I had on those, and hey presto the bass has come up and the treble is tamed. A few other reviews have mentioned the lack of bass and I almost agreed, but they are obviously very fickle and need careful choosing of the right tips. Maybe it's my ear canals that are odd, but I've not had this problem before.Build quality is pretty good but the braided cable does transmit noise if it rubs on clothing etc. Maybe if the cable had a fabric type outer lining this would fix this issue.Due to the problems with the correct tip and noise transmission up the cable they drop a star. But if you sit still and get the tip selection right they do sound great, with a nice balanced response across the frequencies.

Had these for over 10 years! They are very rugged!!
I've already owned a first pair of these since 2009 ish?!? roughly, possibly longer. I am now buying a second pair due to the outer plastic coating of the left earphone wire pealing down, and eventually caused the main wires to loose connectivity. I have had these for around 11 - 12 years and they have been through a lot of punishment. They hold up very well against time! I wasn't exactly kind to them either, always catching them on stuff etc. After about 8 years of use the inner mesh covers started to fall out, but did not effect the sound quality despite my ears being a little flaky from time to time due to a bit of eczema. If the sound becomes muffled I found that the small pin holes on the sides were blocked, and all you have to do is carefully clean it out with a pin or something and the sound returns as the driver isn't trying to fight vaccum/ pressure as it moves back and fourth. It's basically a breather hole for the driver.I am now buying a second pair because they sound incredible. But I'm mainly putting this review on here, to attest to there durability, as I doubt there aren't many people who would have owned a pair for so long and are buying a second pair like I am.
