Consistent and fast heat!
I think overall this is a great unit. I was able to tap into the stock aux port on my ProMaster fuel tank using either the Dorman 800-186 or Dorman 800-123 I cant remember, but that made things much simpler for fuel routing. The heat blows strong and hot. I tested the unit overnight on an 8 hour run and it operated fine. Installing the fuel line, pump, exhaust, and intake was for sure the easiest part. The electrical however was much more convoluted. The instructions were very vague and the diagram was not easy to interpret. It came with a paper with a link on it for install instructions but the link went to a dead page 404. They included a CD but who in the hell has a pc with a cdrom anymore? There are A LOT of extra wires on the harness that do not get used at all and that caused me a lot of headache but it was not impossible. Also you will need an assortment of tools to complete the job like drill, hole saw, wire crimpers, strippers, picks etc. The control unit is easy to use and intuitive.

Effective Heater with Room for Improvement
I recently installed the Eberspacher Airtronic Heater Kit AS3 B2L (Gasoline) 12V in my Dodge Ram Promaster, and overall, it's been a game-changer for cold winter drives. The heater does an excellent job of keeping the interior warm, and the compact design allowed for a relatively straightforward installation under the seat. The compact design makes it easy to find a suitable spot, and the overall build quality inspires confidence in its durability. However, there's still room for improvement, especially when it comes to the electronic components. I was disappointed that more of the electronics weren't "plug and play." Instead, I found myself splicing cables and hooking up adapters, which was more time-consuming than I had hoped for. It would be great to see future versions of this heater with a more user-friendly, plug and go approach to the electronics. The instructions are also pretty garbage, and I found myself relying heavily on the provided diagram and YouTube videos to navigate the installation process. Be prepared to do a bit of problem solving if getting this heater, but it will be worth it in the end.

Quiet pump. Low power consumption. Tons of heat.
This thing is a true beauty. Took two full days to install in my ProMaster. It turned out to be less challenging than expected. Just hoped that they provide better instructions. 1) It takes a couple of tries to get the fuel running unless you prime the line. 2) The fuel wire connectors have numbers 1 and 2 on them. Both wires are green. 3) Don’t forget the rubber seals before you crimp the termini (don’t ask me how I know). 4) Set the pump at 25 deg angle pointing up. 5) Don’t point either the exhaust or the air intake forward. It is easy to mess up when you are under the van.

Faulty unit plus missing items
Unit was purchased months ago though only recently opened and installed due to no control unit being included or exhaust silencer. Instantly coming up with faults consistently with installation correctly done to specs. Sad to have such difficulty in connecting with the seller with these issues.

Two. Technical.
Every time you fire the thing up, you got to go through a jumble of freaking information I don’t know what’s wrong with on and off. kind of pain in the butt.

Not an easy install, but the tech support made it pain free
First off, six stars to Don at PW holdings. Three quick notes messaged through Amazon brought very prompt and clear answers. In one case, Don anticipated my next question and answered it before it was asked. He sent photos that cleared up any confusion I had from reading the manuals. The kit PW provided was very complete, lots of extra bits and pieces trying to anticipate issues and solve them up front.I installed the unit without drama. Biggest issue I had was getting a proper fuel pick up out of my tank.I only just lit it off for the first time, took one error out to get the fuel line primed. On the second shot it lit right off...... mmm warm air.I am very pleased.Thank you Don!

It works!
Some initial problems, as mine was one of the first ones made. Great support got me going with updated firmware, as well as installing a 2mm fuel straw in myFord Transit Trail HR EL.Note: it’s absolutely necessary to tighten the fuel connectors to the max! Otherwise small air bubbles will spoil your day.I’ve had my heater working for about 1,000 hours now with no problems at altitudes from 500 ft to 12,000 ft and with temperatures down to minus 5 deg F. It’s very quiet, with no audible noise from the fuel pump when inside. The fan is quiet, as well. This 2kw model will maintain 60-65 deg F when the OAT is near or below zero and my garage area closed off. I would probably get the 4kw model for such a large van, but got this one out of concern that the 4kw model would get sooted up from running at reduced speed for long periods. The Espar technicians have told me that these gas heaters don’t have the same sooting problems that the diesel models have, however, and will run for thousands of hours without maintenance.
