Not as expected.
First of all, never even knew that it was 2/3 wheat flour before ordering. Could no longer gift it as the person I bought it for cannot have gluten. Kept it for myself since it was unreturnable and tried looking up some recipes. Recipes for the cinnamon muffins differed on the website and the cricketflours pdf file. I went with the recipe on the website, and they turned out terrible because the recipe called for waaaaaaay too much baking soda and baking powder. Ended up throwing out the muffins, which called for 2 cups of the flour. Out $15 and only have around a cup and a half left which I can't do much with. I would not suggest following their recipes, you should be able to just substitute this for regular flour in other recipes if you're brave enough to dump $15 on a pound of what is mostly wheat flour.

Nutrition Facts say NO PROTEIN
This is marketed as high protein. It's literally covered in the word protein - there's 5 references on the packaging to how much protein it has, but then you go to the nutrition facts and....PROTEIN 0G, 0% DAILY VALUESo. Yep. One star. Also, the ingredients are wheat flour, malted barley flour, and cricket powder (gryllodes sigillatus).Very disappointed and will never look at this company again.

WHEAT FLOUR with CRICKETS.
OK, you got me... Your marketing worked and I admit that it is my own fault for not wholly reading or understanding what I was buying. This product is WHEAT FLOUR WITH CRICKETS IN IT. This is NOT Cricket Powder. I shouldve read the description better... but, this is what they are hoping people do I suspect.Im sure it works fine if thats what youre looking for, but I cant use it.

KETO no go.
Okay, to start off I am disappointed in this product because I am on a Ketogenic diet. That means no carbs. No sugar, no pasta, no bread, no flour. I got this flour because I read that cricket flour had little to no carbs. I should have read the details more closely, the primary ingredient in this is Wheat Flour. The secondary ingredient in this is Malted Barley Flour. So, this big bag of wheat flour (about $1 per pound) and malted barley flour ($2 a pound) cost me $17.00... annnnnd I can't even eat it.Really wish I would have looked closer at the ingredients. I thought that maybe they would have mentioned it in the title or the big print, but no.

Bottom Line
We decided to give these a try out of curiosity. It was effortless to make and the result was very tasty. I have read several comments about them tasting exactly like regular brownies. I wouldn't go that far. They do largely taste like a standard instant mix brownie, but I did detect a slight after taste that I could not recognize. It certainly was not enough to be a deal-breaker for us.One of the most important things to realize is that this is not ALL cricket flour. The cricket flour only makes up a very small portion of the total flour content. The best illustration I can give you is that it is like adding a serving of protein powder to a smoothie. One of the biggest complaints I have been seeing is the amount you get. I do understand the frustration, but it is right on the bag. Serving size 44g. For these, that's about a 2" square brownie, at a little under 1/2" thick. (In context, I think most people would consider a normal size brownie to be double that.)Despite your opinion on whether or not that is reasonable, the math is right on the bag and there is no set constant for a serving size. It can be whatever the manufacturer decides is best to sell the product. The serving size would be pretty much the same for a regular brownie if you were trying to keep it to 110 calories per serving.

Where's there rest of the package?
I had my students watch a video on alternative protein sources. The kids were pumped and begged me to get some cricket flour so they could taste it. I agreed and ordered this product. I was expecting a regular box sized mix. It clearly states that the package makes 20 servings. I thought, this is a bit pricey, but it will give all of my students a chance to taste it.The the package arrived. There is about a cup and a half of brownie mix. Even after adding the eggs, water, and oil, it will not come close to 20 ACTUAL servings. I will update this after putting the mix together. I intend to measure the mix before and after, and add pictures to show the quantity made. Again, there is no way this is going to make 20 actual servings.

Easy to make and tasty too!
I was curious about this product and I'm glad I took the plunge! The brownies were easy to make (just add water, vegetable oil and eggs, mix and pour) and by the time they were done, the scent made them extremely easy to eat!I read the previous reviews, expecting some sort of aftertaste but I didn't experience any of that. Honestly, these tasted just like a scratch made brownie. Since I'm the sharing kind, I took these to work (letting everyone at work know what was in them) and everyone loved them. They were squeamish at first about trying something made from bugs but once they got over it, they were pleased with the taste and texture.Maybe next time I'll sprinkle whole crickets and chocolate sauce on top :-D

Disappointed. Feels like a rip off.
This is a blend of standard all purpose flour and cricket powder. It doesn't say on the package (or anywhere on this Amazon page) what percentage is regular all purpose flour and what percentage is cricket powder. It's probably not much cricket powder at all, because the nutrition information appears to be identical to flour. This could be a good product, but I really need the packaging to tell me how much plain flour I'm buying.
