Visual Basic 2012 Programmer's Reference

A Good Reference
I broke my rule about not buying reference books in Kindle format in this case.Even in Kindle format I'm getting good value from this book and the explanations are far above the average for a programming book. If you have a serious use for a VB 2012 book, this book will probably be of good use for you.

Nice working reference.
As a quick reminder of syntax, it works very well. I found it useful to implement functionality in a new -- to me -- language.

good coverage
I have been using other versions of basic for years. This was fairly good at getting me into a very different version.

A good reference
I purchased this book because I am a freelance software developer and my main language of choice is VB.NET. The author knows programming very well, and the tutorials are well structured and explained in very simple terms. It is perfect for anyone starting out with VB.NET or who want to update their knowledge.I just think the book is missing some important aspects of Visual Basic though. I really wanted a quick introduction into Encryption using VB.NET, but this book doesn't seem to cover any encryption fundamentals at all. But I do understand this as encryption is a huge topic. But either way, if you want to get into VB.NET or you already know VB.NET well, this book is very useful. I often just flick through when I am trying to do something but not sure on the best method.Definitely worth it for the price.

A useful very detailed guide to Visual Basic
A useful very detailed guide to Visual Basic. It is very useful reference as I find my way round what is a new computer language to me. I would certainly recommend it to others wishing to add to the computer languages with which they are already familiar. I would not recommend it for a novice programmer.

Rather sketchy
Very light book far more detail required for a reference manual, to be quite honest better off using Wrox 3.5 reference manual.
