This is seriously the BEST harissa I've ever had, and I've tried so many over the last 10 or 12 years. Easily tried at least 10 different brands. Normally it just tastes like hot pepper paste and not much else. Even the ones with cumin and other ingredients mostly taste hot and I always end up adding a bunch of cumin and other ingredients to them.This harissa requires nothing else. I've never eaten preserved lemons, though I've seen them in middle eastern grocery stores. They add such a nice tang that blends so well with the other spices giving a complex delicious flavor. I originally purchased the set of two, nearly consuming one whole jar in 2 days. When I opened the 2nd jar I turned around and ordered the set of 3 jars.Thanks to whoever mentioned this brand in an Amazon review of the rose harissa. I changed my decision based on that review and am so glad I did.This is great straight out of the jar, or added to mayo and used as a dip, or however you like harissa.

Never tried it before. I used it on duck, pork chops, and chicken and I think I will experiment on other dishes.
