Fire hazard!!!!
Bought this as a nightlight for my daughters mermaid themed room. She came upstairs this morning crying about 3 AM because she heard a cracking/pop noise. The bulb had basically melted the glass/plexiglass, you can even see the burn marks inside. And I used the correct bulb and wattage recommended. I'm so upset, and my daughter is heartbroken.

TRICKY BUT WORTH IT
We LOVE this lamp/nightlight!! It’s a great size, sturdy, and eye catching. The tricky part involves the bulb. Just inserting the bulb is a little challenge. You have to loosen a wing nut and pull out the socket. Then carefully feed it back in bulb first. Align the screw and put the wing nut back on. From prior reviews, we opted for an LED “C” type bulb to eliminate the risk of overheating inside her glass tail.We just remodeled our windowless bathroom and she sits atop a tall medicine cabinet and subtly illuminates the room. We are very happy with her!
