I liked the carafe so much when I poured my first French press coffee in. It kept it hot long enough til I finished it all, I like the color and size. But when I washed it the first time, I found it impossible to get all the water out of the carafe. I tried so many ways! shaking, swinging... there is a seemingly superfluous lip between the body of the carafe and the neck, so no matter what you can't empty it completely. I live in the arid west. Even after 24 hours sitting right side up and open, the amount of water stuck inside was only halved, that's how much water stays in. so, impossible to feel it's ever clean if it never dries out. Too small an opening to hand dry with a towel.

It's very stylish and easy to clean, Keeps my tea warm for all day. I actually use it everyday. Strongly recommend.

I bought this to keep my tea hot while I study. It is perfect. I will come back to add photos.

Since I usually only make half of my 12 cup coffee maker, I didn't need a large carafe. This is a perfect size--I fill one coffee cup and put the rest in this carafe. (As I do with thermoses or insulated travel mugs, I pour hot water in first to preheat it, then dump that out). Coffee in it stays hot for hours. Pour spout doesn't dribble. Lid screws on tight, so no leaking. I can take it with me around the house so I don't have to run back to the kitchen for a refill...lol.
