Genuine Eureka STK Filter 61544B - 3-Pack

I recently discovered that these filters can be replaced! Some reviews gave it one star saying these don't fit. I think the problem is you need to keep the filter cage when replacing the filter. I have attached a picture from the owners manual to show the different parts. Replacing the filter takes patience and is like replacing fitted sheets on a mattress. Sliding a thin piece of plastic like a guitar pick under the filters rubber lip as you go helps. Works great once you get it replaced.

Amazon was the only place I could find the replacement filters for the vacuum. These fit perfectly. I did not have any problem switching out the old to the new.

The replacement filter is difficult to install. It fits onto an injection molded plastic frame. The rubberized vinyl seal has a peripheral inward facing lip that forms a groove for the outer edge of the mating flange of the plastic frame to fit into. This is apparent when removing the old filter from the frame. DON'T BREAK THE FRAME!One can easily insert the bottom part of the frame into the filter's groove, but getting the rest of the frame's flange into the groove requires dexterity and patience to stretch the vinyl and pull the groove over the flange and hold it in place as one gets the frame's flange fully into the seal's groove.

It did not fir my Eureka vacuum. Regardless, the filters had horrible/toxic smell. Like the plastic rim melted because old product ? it was unusable anyway. I returned the item following the guidelines but it shows that the tracking number does not exit. Still I hope I can get my money back. I rating with two stars because I received the item in the estimated delivery time.

fits perfect.PS: to those whom say it's garbage because it doesn't fit the vacuum properly because it doesn't have any structure to it... You DO KNOW you must reuse the black plastic frame from the original vacuum bag, RIGHT???? I mean come on folks. It's not rocket science here.

Quality filters that need to be installed in the original Eureka plastic filter holder mold from the old filter. Works as it should.
