Multiple Choice Questions To Prepare for The AP Calculus AB Exam: New Edition

Excellent set of practice tests
My son in grade 8 independently studied for the AP Calculus AB exam. We were unable to assess where he stands, as the classes he was attending from AOPS weren't tied to the AP exam and were indifferent to his progress (or lack of progress). Books from other publishers were also frustrating as they contained several mistakes and generally not of the same style as the AP exam. This book had no typos or errors in the answers (and I can't emphasize how uncommon it is to find an AP test prep book that lacks errors). I solved every problem in every test myself to be able to provide feedback to my son, and found that it was quite comprehensive. We used the first test as a diagnostic, and quickly realized some major weaknesses in my son's prep (e.g, lack of familiarity with using graphing calculators which are an important part of the AP exam). Fixing those errors, he would give the next exam, and doing this about 3 times, he was scoring 40+ out of 45. By the end of the last test, seeing his scores stabilize a little over 40, we felt confident that he would do well in the AP exam. It is important to note that the author has been a veteran teacher at one of the most competitive public high schools in the country (Lynbrook High) where the bar is very high, so these questions are both relevant as well as rigorous. When my son gave a couple of practice tests from College board after doing this book, he found them slightly easier and that boosted his confidence even more. Today, we got his AP score and it was 5. Thank you Ms. Korsunsky! Now know we can rely on your books next year as well for the BC exam!

the book is excellent
I believe that the workbook made a difference and helped me explore other types of questions, which made me feel more confident. Also, the powerpoints explaining the questions were extremely helpful and well written. It is evident that there was a lot of thought and care into each and every question. I would definitely recommend my book for preparing for the AP Calculus exam.

Great way to prepare for the AP exam
This is a fantastic book. There are tons of questions that cover every aspect of the multiple choice portion of the AP Calculus test. As a recent commenter wrote, there is not a detailed key provided, but there are answers. I believe it's more helpful to spend the time reworking the problem before resorting to a detailed solution. You will be far more better prepared for the AP test with this mindset. I also love that the book is relatively slim and not as overwhelming as some of the 3" alternatives. It's worth the investment, and will surely result in a higher AP test score.
