I bought these $24 socks for the antifungal properties of the copper yarn.They didn't improve my athlete's foot. As I recall, they need to be washed in warm water. Fungal spores don't get killed at that low temperature. To add insult to injury, they were hot and still made my feet sweat, while wearing open teva's (sandals)!What did the trick was none of the other myriad of products that I bought (essential oils with anti fungal properties such as myrrh, patchouli, eucalyptus, oregano, tea tree oil, lavender), copper soles, fungus fix, antifungal creams and powders (zeasorb), cellular silver spray, zinc oxide powder, baking soda, footbaths with epsom salt, rubbing alcohol spray, hydrogen peroxide spray , cayenne pepper and salt, toe socks with silver embedded yarn, and iodides tincture. Some of these "remedies" hurt like hell, gave me blisters and made my foot swell.I refused to see an MD, because the oral meds that they recommend for stubborn cases are not 100% effective and they can cause liver damage.The trick that fixed the fungus: Keep the toes dry and clean. Avoid socks as they make your foot sweat, wear open slippers/teva's, wear "toe stretchers" if you can tolerate it (for air circulation between the toes), and push/wrap a piece of paper towels deep between the toes to absorb the excess moisture. Replace often. Fungus dies without moisture, irrelevant from the fact that you may be walking on a trillion spores. A dirt cheap paper towel fixed my athlete's foot, by absorbing all moisture! It would have saved me a ton of money if someone had mentioned this anywhere online. I did also buy a "UV total recovery" to kill 99.9 % of the fungus in my shoes. It supposedly also fights shoe odors.I rate the socks two stars as they'll keep my feet warm in the winter. Just don't get them to fix your athlete's foot. Buy a roll of paper towel with a high absorbency rate instead, such as Viva or Bounty.

I ordered two pairs of these sox in extra Large size. Received one large and one pair extra large.
