This might seem as a complicated time to live:We create, store and share huge amounts of data.Yet, the sharing has become a problem on itself.Most computers only have USB-Type-A ports.Apple devices (iPhones, iPad) have Lightning Ports.Many Android phones and tablets have microUSB (Type-B).And the latest computers and Android phones now have USB-Type-C ports.And you also have microSD memory cards, popular in many of the above devices, and some others.All of them ports are physically diferent. And if you want to move data from any device to any device, you'd have to have quite a collection of adapters, cables and dongles.I bought this device, fitted in a 128 GB microSD memory card, and now can freely copy huge amounts of data from almost any device to almost any other device.And as far as I have tested it: it just works (I haven't used it on an iPhone yet).It's small (about 2" / 5 cm on its longest side) and lightweight, so it's easy to carry everywhere.My computer recognizes it right away, and shows up as another memory device in the file explorer.In my Google's Nexus-2013 tablet, it also shows right away.In my Sony's XperiaXZ it's a two step process: I have to first plug it in, and then activate "Detect USB device", and it will be recognized right away.The only downsides so far is that the protection caps tend to detach themselves, and then be easily lost.It also has a small hole for use in a keychain, but the hole is too small! Anyhow, carrying it on the pocket is a bad idea because of the cap's problem.My solution? So far the electronic/ data storage part of this product seems to work just fine. I love the functionality, portable size, and sleek metal construction.Big room for improvement:•It doesn't come with a keychain attachment, despite being a keychain product. I had to make my own from craft store supplies. This little addition really should be included in the package.•The caps will fall off in your pocket and get lost sooner than later. This will lead to the port connections being exposed to the elements and pocket lint, which can eventually cause them to stop working. I had to super glue elastic cord around all of the caps to keep them from falling off and getting lost.

I carry this in my pocket every day. Nice to be able to shuttle files between devices. I was disappointed that it didn't work on Apple without loading an app but I think that is an Apple issue, not the fault of this device. I mostly needed it for Android and PC anyway. You will eventually lose the clear plastic covers.

I like this alot, having the USB and lightning connector plus SD Card Reader in one. Works on my Windows PC and my Apple devices. Thanks

This is exactly what I was looking for as I carry both an iphone and an android phone with a type c usb and need to obtain both phone files onto one safe place.

very good as described a Little hard to use wiht xperia xz and with iPhone and ipad Works better formate with fat32

solid construction, work very well.. caps for each point got lost the first day, but don`t think that merits a less star

This OTG card data reader is absolutely amazing. Who would have thought an iPhone/iPad could actually read/save on an external storage? I never thought it would be possible with such a compact size. However, this little thing does help me to read/write on the TF-SD card via the app downloaded from the AppStore. I can easily move my pictures/videos to an external storage, not only limited to a card but also USB drive. In addition, I can copy a video/picture file into the external storage and access it on my iPhone. The app is provided by following the manual came in the package. Also tested on my Samsung Android tablet, it is also fine. Here is a little experience to share: the TF-SD card is suggested to be formatted prior using because one of my cards was recognized but not quite readable at the beginning.

J'ai achetez ce lecteur de carte SD pour mon iphone 5s et mon ipad 4 pour pouvoir lire des films en voyage. Cet appareil marche très bien pour cette fonction. J'ai du formater la carte SD en extfat pour que ca fonctionne. Au début les videos marchait, mais il n'y avait pas de son. Après avoir redémarré le iphone, tout a fonctionné. L'appareil est fabriqué avec un matériel solide et durable. Le port usb 3.0 est très pratique pour transférer les fichier car la vitesse est très rapide. Il faut simplement télécharger le logiciel de i-usb-storer sur l'app store.I buy this SD card reader for my iphone 5s and my ipad 4 to be able to play movies while traveling. This unit works very well for this function. I had to format the SD card in extfat so that it works. At first the videos worked, but there was no sound. After restarting the iphone, everything worked. The device is made of durable material. The usb 3.0 port is very handy for transferring files because the speed is very fast. Simply download the i-usb-storer software on the app store.
