At first it was confusing. But, when you actually studied the instructions it was very simple . If I put up another one it would be done very quickly. I lifted the top off with a pull of the string . I am a 5’1 lady .

It takes some strength to hoist a 90 pound kayak. Don’t be tempted to buy a model at the upper end of its capacity to lift your object.

Fairly easy to install. Like others reviewing this hoist system I had a few modifications that were specific to my garage. The hoist is easy to use and seems sturdy. I had an easy time raising and lowering my Jeep hard top. I definitely recommend this product.

Great product, as advertised!

I have a Pickup camper type cover which is too heavy for this product.

This was a little bit of a pain to install but dooable in a few hours by yourself. No issues at all and it removes the hardtop with ease.

Had this installed in only a couple of hours. Seems very sturdy and well worth the price. The only change I made was because I don't have great rope tying skills. Picked up four rope binders at Lowe's to connect to the straps rather than tying knots. Felt more confident that way. Highly recommend this system.
