The clock is, in fact, silent. Another reviewer had stated that they had to replace the batteries every 10 days, but I’ve had it for over a month without having to change them. I cannot stand the ticking of a clock, so this clock is perfect.

Love the clean look! I had it as a desk clock for a while, and then hung it up on the wall. Both worked great. Very quiet. Keeps great time so far!

So far I really like this simple clock. It’s a nice mix of modern and rustic. I like that it’s silent. My only small qualm is that I do wish it had a second hand.
