Not for extended use and generally unreliable
I'm a teacher, I had previously used an Apple TV to screenshare my iPad so I could present from my iPad while moving around the room. The school upgraded the wifi and the Apple TV couldn't connect any longer, so I purchased this as a replacement and had trouble from the start. It would stop working after 45 minutes or so, it had trouble connecting and was unreliable. I tried to use it again at the beginning of the current semester and it wouldn't connect to the iPad whatsoever. 2 stars since it worked for a time, far from reliable.

Spoke too soon...
Originally wrote a decent review but have to edit it now because it stopped working after one use. I will be returning it. It is completely ridiculous to have something work one second and not connect the next. For reference, it just sits on the plug and play screen and won’t project the phone anymore.

Don’t buy
It didn’t work with Netflix only YouTube and even though they played on the tv they had awful image quality on the tv, HD on my phone, every minute or so the device would turn off so I had to unplug and I had to plug everything again, aweful product I wouldn’t recommend it and to think I was so excited to get one, The only good thing I have to say is they shipped very fast and I got my product in three days only to send it back the next.

Not worthwhile
Initiallly on facetime calls to Apple 6 phone hooked to my TV the picture was good but the sound lagged a bit. Then, after two calls the item died. Did not send image or sound to the TV. Screen had "plug and play" but never moved beyond. Called Apple and they confirmed it a unit problem- Am returning the item.

Worked only a handful if times...
I'm a teacher who bought this so that I could project things for my students. Worked GREAT the first 5 or 5 times... then it just stopped working.Checked my device, the inputs, the charging cable... Everything worked... no projection... I will not spend money on this again...

Gets really hot, doesn't do HD, and changes your iPhone's clock.
This thing does no do HD, it gets really hot, and it changes your iPhone time/clock while it is plugged in. I think it might have even added a secondary time zone in China. I returned it and bought the Apple lightning to HDMI adapter and works with no issues.

That it did not work at all
We received this product and it doesn't work We have tried it with 2 different HDMI cords and we have a different adapter that we have tested the cords with and had no issues with at all. We missed our return date on it so it was money wasted.
