I would not say the trousers were water resistant at all really.

Q: Washing pants and care - what is the best way to wash these? Can they also be ironed or tumble dried?

Both hand and machine washable. And, you can dry your trousers in both ways, just be careful not to overheat them.

Q: Sorry still confused as the leg length does not seem to fit with waist. seems not much longer than waist.

I am 6ft and leg length was fine for my 29" leg
