Flawless performance, whisper quiet
I've used it five times, so obviously I can't speak about its long-term use. But 2 of my preparations were two rib eye roasts, one of them about 8 lb, and in the second case, I used 2 rib eye roast that totaled about 13 lb. The crowd was thrilled on both occasions. Tonight I am cooking a dozen chicken drumsticks. I couldn't be happier with this purchase, so far.

Easy to use
This is a very good sous vide system. Thankfully no phone required to operate it. The water comes to the cooking temperature quickly. I checked and the temperature is accurate. The unit cleans easily. So far I have made steak and salmon. Both were delicious.

KitchenBoss sous vide
I discovered sous vide cooking several years ago and have gone through a few cookers in that time. When I saw this KitchenBoss cooker, I really liked the advertised features so I picked it up.It comes with a storage bag which is nice so it doesn't get damaged when not in use. It also has a comprehensive instruction manual and a nice cookbook. What really got my attention is the preprogrammed settings - drop your food in, scroll through the menu until you find what you want, and hit on/off to start. It gives you the option to change the settings if you want to make adjustments, as well as the ability to use it without the automatic settings, although I haven't yet tried anything from scratch. I noticed another reviewer said he was unable to figure out how to use his own settings, which doesn't surprise me because the controls are rather confusing. Even I, who have more than a little experience with sous vide cooking, find the controls overcomplicated. It's not extremely intuitive so you really have to study the manual. There is a "preset" button that I figured was how to get to the automatic preset recipes, but no. The "preset" function gives you the ability to set the cooker to start at a certain time - basically it creates a delay so that it won't start cooking until you want it to. Unfortunately it does not keep your raw food cold until that time so if you delay for too long you risk contamination. You might want to add ice to the water to keep the food in the safe range until cooking starts. I would expect that this would require you to set it to start a little sooner in order to melt the ice and bring the water up to temp. You have to hit the "+" or "-" sign to scroll through the food menu, and for anything that has options (like setting rare - well done) you go through all those options before it takes you to the next food. It seems there could be a way of skipping directly to the food you want to cook instead of going through all these other steps, but if there is, I haven't discovered it yet. As for the automated recipes, some of the included recipes are a little unusual, like King Oysters and Beet Salad, but it has more normal settings for steak and chicken breast. Another thing to note is that this unit does not have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi capability, which is something I would expect in a sous vide in this price range, so this is a little disappointing. There are actually several lower priced machines that include these features. My main concern is that for newbie sous-viders, the complicated operation of this machine might be intimidating and result in a machine that never sees the light of day. It would certainly benefit from a little reconfiguring of the buttons and labels so that it would be make more sense and be more intuitive. All in all, it's a pretty solid machine that's well built, but it will definitely take some practice and tinkering to figure it out. Once you do, however, I'm sure you'll be pleased with your results.

I'd never used a sous vide, or eaten anything cooked in this manner.
The media could not be loaded. Sous Vide Cooker Immersion Circulator: KitchenBoss Ultra Quiet 1100 Watts Precision Cooker with Color LCD Recipes IPX7 Waterproof Immersion Cooking Machine Include Cookbook, Carbon Fiber Pattern (Carbon Black)First impressions: Very nice box, opens from the side, nice touch. Shiny and black, just like I like my kitchen appliances. Nice and heavy, feels sturdy. Cord is nice. Bracket seems well made, from decent plastic with a metal screw to attach to the pot. There is a spring loaded …I guess you can call it a trigger that secures the cooker in the bracket.Installation/setup: I was prepared with a steel pan the approximate size called for…I was going to use it to dye fabric on top of my stove, but this is a much better use. Bracket works as described, holds the cooker firmly upright as needed. I filled the pan with hot water. I don’t know if it’s necessary but it just seemed to make sense so the cooker didn’t have to heat the water from cold. Turn it on, select english, select fahrenheit, as I am in the U.S., scroll through the entries to come to chicken breast. It started to agitate the water gently and made almost no noise at all. I had prepared my chicken breast in individual vacuum sealed bags. My chicken breast still had bones and skin. I did not season this first try. I couldn’t figure out when to put the chicken in but it didn’t seem right to put it in hot tap water. I waited until the readout said 138 deg F and the cooker beeped. I put the chicken in and pushed the on/off button and the timer started counting down from the hour and a half it was set for. An hour and a half later I had cooked chicken. It does look odd, not what I was used to. I used a torch on the first one, but even after it looked brown (ish) it still seemed too pink and not exactly raw, but rare. I am not used to eating rare chicken lol. I took another (I cooked three) and put it on a rack and put it under the broiler for 8 minutes and that made the skin get crispy and the flesh inside was more palatable and juicy with lots of flavor. Next time I will try it with seasoning and I’m sure it will be even better!Notes: I have never tried to make sous vide anything and had never eaten it either.Final thoughts: I am looking forward to trying it again, it is easy to use for a noob and I got great results. I put the third chicken breast in the fridge, I think maybe I can just put it under the broiler to crisp up and it will heat it as well.⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality-price ratio is ok.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

Uppvärmningstest:5 liter vatten, start-temperatur 10°C47°C @ 20m55°C @ 25m64°C @ 30m70°C @ 34m
