MY First Touch & Feel Picture Cards: Farm (MY 1ST T&F PICTURE CARDS) Cards – April 16, 2007

I bought all 6 sets of these flash cards, and really love them. at first I was disappointed that there were only 16 cards per pack, but once we got them out and started going through them, I realized how great they are. they are very sturdy and thick - they will easily last through my 2 year old and her little sister when she is old enough. they are great for both young and older toddlers, as younger toddlers can simply learn the words, and older toddlers can learn the more complex concepts. on the back of each card there are ideas for parents, and also a translation into Spanish, French, German, and Chinese. I can see how we will get a lot out of these cards.for now, my daughter loves to play with them. She takes them all out, looks at them, talks about what is on them, and then puts them away. (Love how it's fun for her to put them away - I also think it helps her with her fine motor skills.) She also likes to "play" them with me, where we go through some of the more advanced concepts. Then of course I hear her doing those concepts on her own later.They are great!

My 20 month old LOVES these cards! They aren't very thick and can be bent so watch your little one with them. Each card has a texture to feel. Just a note- if you buy all of the different sets you will find some words are repeated. There are about 3 or 4 different tractor cards all together as well as a couple of other duplicated words. NONE of the duplicated words have the same picture though, so that is a plus! These cards are very engaging and my son loves working with them. Each card does have some questions on the back and each pack has a card that includes some ideas or tips on using the cards. If they make more sets, I will definitely buy them!

My toddler LOVES these flashcards and we LOVE the box!There are several different themes available in this series of flashcards-- this box, Farm, contains animals (duck, cow, sheep, etc), a farmer, tractor, and barn.These are very well-made and sturdy, printed on strong and thick stock. Each flashcard has a bright picture, the name of the object, and a "touch and feel" patch that encourages my little one to explore and spend time with each individual card. This is fantastic for helping him with attention and concentration.As a mom, my favorite part of these flashcards is the box. That may sound strange, but we have enough kiddo stuff strewn across the house! Having a super strong, cardboard box to contain all the flashcards and close shut with child-friendly velco is a thoughtful touch. The box is toddler-perfect, sized for little hands, and helps us teach about "clean up and put away."

Nice quality cards that my daughter can use over and over again. I like that the picture and word are listed on each card!

These flash cards are the best! They are large and relatively thick, so they are easy for my 15-month-old daughter to hold. They stand up to some pretty rough treatment. The images look like what they are supposed to be depicting (unlike some flash cards). The cards are colorful and attractive, and my daughter actually asks my husband and I to play with her using these cards--if she can see them on the shelf or counter, then she'll point and act excited. Very cute. She loves to touch the soft fuzzy parts on the animals. My only (very minor) complaint is that some of the words are a bit overspecific. For example, there is a card for "combine harvester." All in all, though, these are beautifully designed cards that we use every day.

I really need an invoice for this order. I bought it for school but can’t get reimbursed without the invoice. It wasn’t inside the box when I received it. Anyone know how I can get one?The touch and feel cards are wonderful. I have a class of 12-18 month old children. They sit down with me like we are playing a game. It really encourages them to talk. I will be ordering more.

I am not a huge fan of this new Farm set. Not that I think DK will read this review but here’s what I would change:- more visually obvious touch and feel parts of the cards, many are very subtle so not great for younger children (I bought for my one year old)- more breadth of words differing from other sets. quite a few are repeat words from Animals and First Words card sets- have the barn be red not brown. I mean come on! All other kids books have red barns! 😂- have the parent/child animal cards be consistent throughout. For example there is a “cow/calf” card but a single “goat” card. I would actually like separate animal parent and child cards so the toddler could match them up.

These cards are great ! pictures are clear and the tactile bit is clear too. I teach children with special needs and they love the whole range. Great for matching if you buy two sets.

Bought these items to assist children with autism. Found them to be a valuable resource.
