Bright
Very bright, wasn't prepared for how bright it was and you'll want to use the included eye protection. Relatively easy to use and seems to be having an effect although I haven't gone through a full course of it yet.

Already Seeing Results
I have had this gadget for several weeks now and have been using it on my underarms. I didn’t expect to start seeing results this early on, but have already noticed significant thinning of my hair. (I have pale skin and medium/dark colored hair) The product is easy to use, but has to be plugged into an outlet during use. (It is not battery operated) The cord is a good length so it’s not too much trouble. I found that the glasses that come with it are pretty cheap. I found myself closing my eyes before each flash because it is very uncomfortable on my eyes, even with the glasses on. I was a bit nervous before using this the first time because I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn’t very uncomfortable. Each flash feels like a small whip from a thin shoelace. It’s a slight sting, but nothing crazy. After treating the area, I found that my underarms felt slightly sunburned. This went away after about an hour. I love that I am already seeing results and can’t wait until I no longer have to shave at all!

After 2 months, hair still persists.
At 2 months of use, hair growth has slowed, but hair is still growing. I may not have been doing frequent enough treatments in the early weeks (2 vs 3) which may have contributed to the inability of the treatment to fully stop the hair growth. I am continuing the treatments on a weekly basis, so if anything changes, I will update the review.Usage is relatively straightforward. It took me a bit to understand how to get the device into Auto Mode and then how to get it to work. Once you get it into auto, full skin contact has to be made in order for it to start the light pulses. You then slowly move it across the surface of your skin as it continues to pulse every second or so. The device does get warm, especially on the sides near the head. As it gets warmer, you can feel the pulses of light as the heat from the device increases with each pulse. It never gets too hot, but if you get it near a sensitive area, or area with thin skin, i.e. bikini line, it can be a little more intense.Overall, it seems to be somewhat working, though not sure if it’s worth the hassle. It takes a long time to cover large areas, and so far I’ve not gotten the results I was hoping for.

Basic IPL hair remover. Mid-powered (48W). Model S1-A
You can find a huge number of IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) hair removal devices on Amazon. Options started as a trickle, then came a deluge of different models, colors, and shapes. But the secret is that almost all of these are the same inside and are made in a handful of factories. With a few notable exceptions, the features are the same, the controls are the same, etc. So mostly, it comes down to a few, limited, differentiating factors:** Does the IPL offer "ICE" active cooling** Does the IPL offer additional filters/modes for different effects** Does the IPL offer unusual and useful ergonomic features** What kind of power does the IPL use (higher power should translate into better performance). Power levels are typically in the range of 18W-60W. Higher is better. This is a basic IPL that only performs hair removal, and has none of the bonus features. This model is powered by a 48W power supply, which is in the middle of the power range for these units.Operation is pretty trivial: You plug in the power supply, (the hair removal tool is NOT battery operated; you must have it plugged in), you turn it on (long press of the power button), you choose the power level (five settings, chosen by rapidly pushing the power button)) and then you aim it at a body area with hair you'd like to remove. It is recommended that your body is freshly cleaned and that the hair be shaved before starting. You can choose either on-demand flashing (via the button below the LCD display) or else automatic flashing when skin contact is detected. Switching between the modes is accomplished by a long press of the flash activation button. The mode is indicated by a symbol in the middle of the screen. The light is extremely powerful and could damage your eyes with continued direct exposure. Therefore, you should never look directly into the light and a cheap pair of folding protective eyeglasses are included in the box.Using split second photography, I was able to catch a ~1/100th second picture of the intense light (see photos). You run the tool over the area where you want to remove hair and make sure you expose all the hair follicles in that region. You will not see any immediate results. The light signals your hair to stop growing, but it requires multiple treatments over several weeks before you will be expected to see results. Eventually, you should find a substantial reduction in the hair in the treated areas. In the box, you get:** IPL tool (oblong shape)** Power adapter (rated for 48W)** Cheap pair of sunglasses** Inexpensive disposable shaver** InstructionsThis device only offers one mode: Hair removal. Other IPL devices offer other modes (skin rejuvenation and acne treatment). Whether that's a loss depends on whether you believe those other modes really work anyhow. The jury is out. Another thing you don't get with this tool is any attachments that can make it easier to address certain body areas. Some IPL removal tools include these. The actual value of such tools is subject to debate and the fundamental functionality (which is a flash of high-intensity light) does not change.Overall, the device flashes with high-intensity light, as advertised.Pros:** Hair removal IPL** LCD readout of number of flashes left and power level. Also indicates the mode (automatic, manual)** Rated for 999,999 pulses (longer than you'd ever use it)** Mid-power (48W)** Reasonably pricedCons:** I prefer gun-shaped IPL tools to those, like this one, which is oblong** No extra features (like Ice cooling, different modes, or beam focusers)

Nice laser hair remover
This laser hair remover comes nicely packaged, very simple to follow directions, and if pretty effective for the most part, it did take a while longer to get the same results as others I’ve tried not sure if it was something I was doing different or if it was just the quality of the tool, but ultimately it did do its job, if you haven’t used one before it will take a while regardless before you start seeing results it’s not instant, so just be patient and keep up with doing treatments, and to make sure you start out on the lowest setting and work your way up to your desired comfortable level, because higher levels can be more painful till you get used to it. This would make the perfect gift as well to anyone that enjoys laser hair removal and saves a lot of money compared to getting it professionally done all in all this is a very good kit

Super easy to use, good value for your money
This IPL hair remover tool is a nice basic tool to get if you don't want to pay for laser hair removal. This unit is sturdy, easy to hold and comes with a few nice accessories to make it easier to use. It comes with a disposable razor as well as a decent set of glasses to protect your eyes from the light flashes. I've used it a few times so far, so I'm not sure how well it works to get rid of hair, but it seems like any other one and I don't have a reason to doubt that it'll work great. Keep in mind, it's not a quick fix for hair removal, the process does take some weeks.
