i never thought myself to ever use a kindle before, i love the feel of a physical book too much - that’s what i thought.to sum it up; this device is absolutely incredible and is 10/10 in every way.i love bringing books on the go but sometimes you want to bring many stories with you especially going on a holiday or travelling with heavy books.with a kindle you can store thousands - and i mean THOUSANDS - of books in a tiny device which is lightweight and less heavy than just one book or two.the screen is amazing and like paper , it lives up to the name.the buttons are easy to control like tapping in and out of pages, being able to use it at the pool and beach without the fear of damages is just spot on incredible - especially as it’s waterproof: resistant . the colour is sleek and not easy to be scraped , the service of amazon are so helpful and being able to buy books at an instant especially as i’m impatient is just so useful. the sales are amazing and easy to get books for cheaper…and so much more, the kindle paper white impresses in every way and more than you can even imagine. it’s 100% worth it for the price; you’ll save so much in the long term and it’s so powerful and easy to use . accessible and amazing. this device does it all! hits all the spots…!

Christmas has come early.We have been using Kindles since they first came out, and we are a great fan of e-reader.In our opinion this is the e-reader to rule them all.We didn’t upgrade to the last generation, as we were waiting for our old ones to pass on - they didn’t, despite all the abuse we gave them. So we can’t say how much better this is than the last version but compared to earlier ones, the improvement is outstanding.Set up was very easy for both of us. Update the Kindle app for your phone, and enable “Amazon Device Simple Set-up” in the apps setting. Switch on the Kindle, set language and country and select set up from phone. Job done. One Kindle picked up the WiFi password from a stored one on Amazon, while my wife’s one needed the password entered (this took three attempts, and got an odd failed message on the Kindle for the first two times). Pretty much totally painless and took about five minutes each.The display is flawless. Just like a printed book. Even under a magnifying glass the font looks good, and small font display is outstanding. Pinch zoom in/out for font size is very responsive, just slightly shy of active led displays like iPads etc. The backlight is very even and makes reading in the dark a joy.However, the speed improvement of the device it the feature that makes you weep for joy. Searches appear like magic, switching in the library between All and Downloaded no long makes you think the device has crashed. Pressing the home key works without the five minute wait (I exaggerate a little). Even Goodreads actually displays without an hour long wait, and personalised recommendations appear appear like fairy dust.Finally, opening a book, is less than a second - brilliant or what?I can’t testify to battery life, given that it is supposed to be a month, but I don’t doubt it will be anything other than outstanding given the past performance of our old Kindles. Also, joy of joys, gone are the rubbish power connectors that only go in one way. Hurrah for USB-C power connectors, and we can use our Ipad leads and chargers too, when on holiday.So, if you are in any doubt, just get one, it’s great. The only other choice would be if you use audible books and want more storage; but if you just read books, you are never going to fill up 8GB of memory.

An excellent way to read and so simple to use. Many books are free from Amazon and every topic that I have searched for is covered. The font size can be adjusted and the backlight means that it can be used in all light settings.

I used to read a lot when I was kid; about a book a week. Then over the years I stopped reading. Last year I got back into books but found it incredibly difficult to stay interested in them. I spoke to a friend at work who recommended the kindle and after reading reviews and research I bought the paper white 2023 edition. BEST DECISION EVER!!!I bought it on my laptop as I was able to get 3 months free of kindle unlimited and boi this thing is great. As someone who has a tech addiction it’s not that u hate reading ur just addicted to a screen.The quality and cost are great I didn’t mind spending more on the paperwhite as I wanted to get the most out of it.The battery life is incredible I normal charge my kindle every other day because I like it to be around 80% battery so I can just pick it up and go. I read on the bus to work and at home all the time now. Since 20/03 I have read 11 books and now I’m about to finish no 12. I have been sick the past week and I can honestly say I charged it once and it’s still going so it has an insane battery life.The design is smooth. It’s small and will fit nicely in all the shoulder bags I own. I would however recommend a folding case like the ones old people have for their phone that u can put debt/credit cards in. The reason I say this is because I carry chargers and cords and a laptop in my work bag and I don’t want my kindle screen to get scratched so it provides extra coverage. Even with that case still small and fits in all my bags. The buttons are small and sleek and the page turning is completely fine it is sensitive tho so make sure u are swiping the correct way.The matte black finish is nice and the kindle is black and white I heard rumors of a color one being released next year. And kindle day is 23/04 and there are over 800+ books that will become free to download/buy.To make people aware as well because I didn’t know this. You can buy as many books as ur kindle can fit (16GB) but u can only borrow up to 20 books at a time which is fine but if u make notes u might lose them.Overall, kindle is great I wish I bought one sooner I tell everyone about my kindle and recommend they get one.
