I was wary of having to register with my phone number and it took a few trys to pair but I really like these now!The app is great. I wanted to set a light to turn on at a certain time in the evening and off at a certain time in the morning. Sounds simple, right? Try to do it with a Dot or an Echo and no hub. Surprise!So, I tried the app required to make these work with Alexa. That's the app that demands your phone number. Easy! Very intuitive and it works great. I guess that the purpose of the app is to so that you can set up a schedule and the switch will be controlled from iDOBBi via the internet without a hub regardless of whether you or your phone are nearby. The thought of someone in China knowing my phone number and turning on my lights is weird but I'm getting over it.I plan to buy more.

I was actually surprised at how easy it was to set up. I have another smart plug from a different manufacturer that had more clear instructions that took twice the time to set up. The instructions that came with this were a little difficult to read, my assumption is because it was translated into English, however the gist is download the app and then activate the skill in Alexa. Within a few minutes, I was in business. If I had a need for more, I would definitely buy more right now for every single thing I have to plug in.Update: still working very well and I did buy another set to use for my spare room and Christmas Tree.

So far, so good! We purchased four of these. The setup was super easy and I was able to share the connections with my husband's phone. The app is easy to navigate and we are thrilled to be in control of the lights (and anything else we connect) from wherever we are. We plan to plug the Christmas tree into one of the plugs, so no more crawling under the tree to unplug it at night! We haven't tried the timer feature yet, but the Christmas tree might be the first experiment with that. We have had no connectivity or reset problems. Thumbs up for this product.

Have been using these with my Amazon Echo to turn off/on my fan and off/on light for about four months now. I love these things for the price and what they do. If you have an Android you have to download there app first from the google play store to configure them before linking them to your amazon device. I recommend these to anyone. Easy to use and have been great.

Nice you can switch it on/off through Wi-Fi, but it occasionally works. Seems like the program runs on your phone and if it isn't running the timers won't work. So if the app isn't running all the time the timers don't really work from what I've seen.

it took about 1/2 hour to figure out that I first needed to download and install an APP before before I could get Alexa to find the power outlet but once I got it installed Alexa found and began controlling the 2 power outlets. I gave the power outlet a 4 because the instruction aren't clear about the first APP installation. Deliver was fast, product came as described and and the quality of the power outlet is excellent. I'm going to look at other products that work with Amazon Alexa. I will buy iDobbi products in the future.

I use these with an ap on my phone. I set the timer on each one to come on and go off at various times. Much easier than those old mechanical timers. Plus you can set different time for different days. You can turn it on and off any time you want using the phone ap, too.The only thing that I don't like is having to use a password to use the phone ap. I really don't think I need a secure ap to turn on my lights. It takes me longer to figure out what my password is than to turn on the light.

Works fine once setup. App is not well designed for example there is no shortcut to selecting all days of the week in the scheduling function. Biggest issue is that anytime the internet modem or WiFi router have to be restarted the plug has to be reprogrammed. So if the internet goes out when you’re away from home and then comes back later you will lose your access to the plug and it will no longer function on the programmed schedule.
