not for tiny wires
I was disappointed when I received these strippers. I had thought I was ordering a set a good bit smaller. This size however is perfect for the vast majority of wires which you are likely to come across. I did try these on a tiny wire--i do not know the gauge, but with insulation it was a good bit less than one millimeter thick. The strippers promptly snapped the wire and left the insulation in shreds.

this is not a waste of your money
If you do anything with wire, stop using the stripper crimper combo tool with the yellow handles that you have to much up your wire size to the correct holes. so slow.this thing can handle different sizes with no adjustment in the tool. it's fast. and frankly, it's cheap. You don't need a brand name, this one works great. Treat yourself. the right tool makes the job better, faster, and just more enjoyable - and really, don't you need just ONE more tool? yes... yes, you do!
