Hawaiian Punch Singles To Go Powder Sticks, Variety Pack, 40 Count, Pack of 4 - ORIGINAL FLAVOR

I actually picked these up for a fun and funny Christmas present for my nephew who likes to make Kool-Aid with his water bottles (using part of an unsweetened powder packet and sugar to taste) and Kool-Aid singles were more expensive. The Hawaiian Punch Singles-to-Go Powder Sticks I purchased was a 4-pack with 40 packets in each box -- less than 10 cents per serving. The boxes I purchased (at least one for my nephew!) each contain four flavors -- Fruit Juicy Red, Wild Purple Smash, Berry Bonkers, and Berry Blue Typhoon.For what it is... Regardless of what people say, these flavors do not taste like "real" Hawaiian Punch. Of the four flavors, the Fruit Juicy Red is the best (and most like the original), However, they suit their purpose for me, providing a quick alternative when I want something other than water. Part of the reason they don't taste like the original has to do with the artificial sweetener used (aspartame). I am not a fan of artificial sweeteners. They have a weird chemical aftertaste, especially if you're not used to them. All four flavors have that chemical aftertaste, though it's not as noticeable in the Fruit Juicy Red and the Wild Purple Smash, albeit to a lesser extent.As other reviewers note, I find these too strong for just 17oz of water, which is good because it doubles the output since it can be diluted with another (or a larger) bottle of water and still taste pretty good. And I also agree with others who've said they are better cold.All in all, Hawaiian Punch Singles-To-Go Powder Sticks are a good -- but not a great -- product. I'd love the flavors to be improved and to lose the chemical aftertaste (though any artificial sweetener will have one). Would I purchase these again... I probably would because -- as I noted above -- they provide a quick alternative to water and these mean I would not have to make a pitcher of Kool-Aid when I only want a glass or two of something "sweet." On top of that, these packets are easier to store and carry than bottles of juice and can be used anywhere one can get water, making them very convenient. I would, however, seek out the Fruit Juicy Red as my main choice.

I won't review the flavor of the drinks--you either like Sugar Free Hawaiian Punch or you don't--but if you, like me, go through a lot of these, the Variety Pack is a REALLY great value. One caveat: The individual "sticks" use a more generic labeling than the ones in the 10-packs, and all the flavors are the same color! This makes it frustratingly impossible to find your favorite at a glance, but if you're willing to drink whichever the whim of fate dictates, you can't beat the price!

Absolutely love these Hawaiian Punch singles to go! All the flavors taste amazing and my kids love these. I purchase water by the case (16.9 oz bottles) and add one of these pouches (if you prefer a sweeter flavor, dump a little water out). These are a much better alternative than regular juices. My only gripe is I wish they were color coded because when your child asks for the blue flavor, you have to pull them all out to find that specific color. Also, these are SO much cheaper than those teeny tiny liquid water enhancers which only make about 5 bottles and with these here, you get 40 bottles per box!

Using this as part of a reward system in my classroom. Students love it!Update 1/15/19: I went to repurchase these Hawaiian Punch singles and the price has been jacked up by $10!! My students love earning these as part of achieving behavioral goals, but now I can't afford to purchase them :(

Purchased for a military family member who gets sick of sitting on the ocean drinking flavorless water. This was one of the few things that the navy folk especially want because their water apparently is so flavorless you wish to have flavor after a while. Anything that I can do to make my military family member happy until they can get home I will.
