Even better than expected!
Excellent knife!Pros:The green aluminum is far more beautiful in person. It’s light weight but large enough for tougher tasks. Very thin so it fits in my back pocket comfortably. Came razor sharp out of box and has zero wiggle or side play. Strong lockup and feels great in the hand. I’m not usually a fan of assisted opening, but it doesn’t bother me with this knife, and I actually like it on the Knockout.Cons:Slightly expensive for a Kershaw production knife. But we’ll worth the money in my opinion.I worry the aluminum and black coating on the blade will easily scratch and look heavily used prematurely, but it’s a tool meant to be used so that will happen either way.Overall, it exceeded my expectations and I’m very happy with the purchase.

Get one NOW
I lost mine and I'm genuinely upset about it. Not because of the cost, but because I love this knife so much I actually hate not having it clipped on my pocket.I had this knife clipped on to my pocket and somehow it disappeared. I guess maybe thats something to consider if you would be worried about this knife getting ripped out of your pocket by a tree branch or something.I daily carried this knife for about 4 months. The action on it is phenomenal, its snaps open with authority, the blade is big and strong, but has a nice belly for slicing. Takes a great edge. Its a pretty basic steel, but it sharpens easily and will maintain a good edge. The blade itself is quite big. But the knife is so thin and light that it carries extremely well. This is a nice full size knife that you can daily carry and you will totally forget its in your pocket. Its an absolute winnner for Kershaw. I will be buying another one to replace the one I lost, I need a Knockout in my life. Its a phenomenal EDC blade and could easily function as a tactical/self defense blade, if thats important to you.Buy one...like NOW. You will not regret it.

Perfect Knife
Let me start by saying I love this knife. I have had this knife for over 2 months and carry it every single day. This knife is absolutely a larger-size knife but it is SO thin, I never feel that it is there and I have come to love the size of it. The blade is a great size, stays super sharp once sharpened, and the handle fits my hand perfectly.I have to emphasize the thinness of this knife. It makes it much smaller than it looks in pictures and when it's in my back pocket, I cannot feel it at all. Some reviewers have said that this knife cannot be seen because of the way the clip is positioned and located but that is not entirely true... I can easily tell it's a knife when someone puts the knife in their pocket with the clip secured to the pocket. I don't think it's physically possible to use a knife clip and completely hide a pocket knife but this knife does do a great job. The clip is pretty deep and it is definitely very strong. The colors are excellent and part of my favorite part of this knife. I cannot have a knife without the SpeedSafe technology now because I'm spoiled with the one handed easiness of opening and quick speed of opening. This knife is slightly slower than the Kershaw Leek but it is because that is a smaller knife. This one is still extremely fast and I cannot recommend this highly enough. Buy one!

The box it comes in is nice, it has a Made In USA sticker on ...
I saw some excellent reviews of this knife elsewhere on line. So, I found it here for $60 and change +free shipping. The box it comes in is nice, it has a Made In USA sticker on it, nicely packaged. The knife is sharp, and appears to be very high quality. I have not used it yet, but suspect it'll be fine. I did notice one thing. I can't seem to flip it using the thumb stud. Maybe it has to be flipped a bunch of times to be loosened up, I don't know. With the flipper on the back, however, it flips great. This is my preferred method of opening it, anyway. I've never really liked the thumb studs. Feels very nice in the hand. I like this style of blade, and while the thing is light, it doesn't feel wimpy, either. The OD and black color scheme also goes well with my free Carhartt pants.EDIT: As I suspected, the knife got smoother. It now opens easier with the thumb stud, but I still wish it wasn't there at all. The finish on the knife has not worn at all, and the finish on the clip that rides on the outside elf the pocket still looks good.. It has worn a little, but no scratches to bare metal. I don't cut a lot with it, mostly shrink wrap at work, but it does this like nobody's business, and the thing is still sharp. I'd still recommend, and give 5 stars.I do have to wonder how Kershaw makes a knife comparable to Benchmade for less than 3X the price....Anyway, I'd highly recommend it, for 60 bucks, you can't go wrong.

Better, I think, than a ZT0350
This could be, cost taken into consideration, the best and most practically useful folding knife in the world. It is not the best screwdriver, pry bar, hammer, or axe in the world, and those who believe a knife should be used for the tasks of those other tools might want something else. But this knife, as a knife, is unsurpassed. It comes sharp from the factory, though a tiny bit of dressing makes it even more so -- the steel is that just-right combination of sturdiness and an ability to be resharpened easily. A sweet, sweet blade. It is in my experience the easiest-deployment and fastest of the Speed Safe knives, and the handle is just right. True, it can get a little slippery, but the finish on the aluminum sides does provide some grip, and a little spot of skateboard tape here and there will relieve any other grip concerns (I haven't found the need for this but will do it anyway, because I like to anticipate needs rather than react to them). Out of the boox it's far less slippery than any of, say, the Cryo line, and we all love our Cryos. The olive-black motif bring to mind some of the more expensive Zero Tolerance knives.Though truth be told, I'd rather have at hand the Knockout than, say, a ZT0350, even if they were the same price -- and you could get two of these and a good sharpening system for less than the price of a 0350. This knife is a bargain.
