I have a pellet smoker that comes with 2 digital thermometers. Unfortunately after a couple of years they both have stopped working! I purchased this to take the place of the ones that came built in.I love all the presets and how easy it is to monitor.If you smoke turkey or brisket you know the importance of a good thermometer to monitor the right temperature!After years of cooking and smoking I still get my internal temp numbers mixed up so this is perfect! I love how it sets on the side of my smoker and how easy it is to read. Even with the choice of the built in thermometer, I would take this any day!

Used three times, then started reading ambient temp as 170 degrees. Changed batteries and retried. Evidently my freezer is a frigid 140.

This thermometer was exactly what I needed and it is so easy to use.

Update: Although the device broke outside of the return window, the seller was kind enough to give me a full refund.Original review: I've used this regularly for about 3-4 week and now it doesn't keep proper temperature anymore. DON'T BUY.

Very accurate temperature readings. Great to see the outside temperature while inside. Especially in the winter

The presets are not correct - Chicken should cook to 165 degrees and fish to 145 degrees. I can get past that. This product, however, stopped working 4 months after purchase. Without placing it in food, it registered the temp over 120 degrees in the kitchen - yes, at room temp. Checked their website and YouTube and followed all the reset directions. Temp probe still not reading correctly. Called customer support, who walked me through the reset steps again. Still not working properly. Customer Support said they will mail me a replacement . . . but the replacement is not the same; it is a folding instant read thermometer, not the kind I purchased with a wired probe you leave in the food while the digital section stays on the counter. Called customer service a number of times and left messages but no word back.UPDATE: Customer Service reached out to me (though they referenced a previous email we did not receive). They offered a full refund, which we accepted. It saved us having to return the item through Amazon.

It's plug-and-play, easy to use... different meat temperature settings that are pre-programmed. What I also love is the customer support! It was easy for me to get a replace probe!

After complaining one day about the meat thermometer she had (for a long, long time) I went right away to Amazon and found this one as a surprise. She used it yesterday with a pork tenderloin and it came out perfectly. Very pleased, and accurate. Absolutely recommend (by her)

Solo lo pude usar 2 veces, a la tercera lo coloqué sobre las llamas y se quemó el cable. Fue mi error pero aún así me parece que es muy delicado y tienes que usarlo con extremo cuidado, per para el asado a veces esto es dificil. Prefiero buscar una solución mucho más robusta.

Should have bought one of these a long tie ago, much better than a stick thermometer. Use it all the time now, and have not blown a meal after about 20 times using this handy tool.

Worked fine until batteries ran low. Changed batteries and now stuck on this screen.
