Fits well with adjacent HDMI cables and works with 4K UHD
I was concerned that the size of the plug might interfere with HDMI cables in adjacent HDMI ports but this proved not to be the case. I had no problem with connecting HDMI cables in adjacent ports (see pic). I used this on a UHD (Ultra High Definition) 4K TV and I had read that I should use a protector that met the HDMI 2.1 standards but this protector, which meets the lower level HDMI 1.4 standard worked fine with no discernible degradation in the picture quality. There is really no way to know if it will actually protect the TV in the case of an electrical surge coming from the connected cable TV box so I'll have to trust the manufacturer's specs for the surges that this device is protective of.

Hopefully this surge protector helps
After losing 2 of 4 HDMI ports on my Sony AV receiver I did some research and found that HDMI surge was a "thing". I hope this helps protect the system going forward. What I am happy about is that this surge protector did not affect the audio or video signal at all. Would def recommend this device.

No signal degredation
Haven't had a nearby lightning strike yet, so I can't attest to the degree of protection, but I am surprised that there seems to be no signal degredation. I have an old 4x4 matrix switch/extender which is very sensitive to signal quality, and I can say that there is no problem using these protectors with that unit. It may not be perfect protection as ther is no ground connection except internally, but it's better than I had and it passes the signal without a problem.

Wasn't effective for my ESD problem, but great customer support
Our AV booth has some kind of static electricity / grounding problem. Walking around and then touching the wall creates a static shock which knocks out our HDMI signals, which is very bad for live streaming and recording. I had hoped these would help isolate our electronics, but ESD is a tricky thing. It didn't work for our setup, but the company was quick to respond and help. Thanks!

Didn’t protect
I have had 2 high quality HDMI cables fail and 2 HDMI ports go bad through power surges. I bought this device as well as a new cable and new TV. The day after I installed this “protector” we had another near lightning strike. The cable failed and the port was blown - after just 1 day!
