Update: March 30th 2024It has been 5 months, and unfortunately the battery is no longer holding through even one round of straightening. I charge it fully when it dies, which takes over an hour. And than begins to die after about 20 minutes which takes about 5 just to heat up. It also does not heat up well enough to straighten anymore, even at the highest setting. Within those 5 months I have only used it a handful of times.I must also mention that my hair is no longer as long as it was in the picture from my first review. It is now at shoulder length. Was great while it lasted.Review from oct 2023:First I just want to say, ignore the bad reviews! I have a feeling people that are dissatisfied with this may not have even read the instructions.BUT ANYWAY, if you are thinking about getting one, BUY IT! I hesitated for weeks on buying this because of people’s negative reviews about the battery life. Which is a huge deal for something that is cordless and its soul purpose is to be a portable hair straightener lol. But I figured hey, if it’s true…I can just return it.First, look at the packaging! It immediately feels like it’s worth the money and I don’t even find $50 to be a lot for a good hair straightener. Packaging was beautiful.Following the instructions, I charged it for 2 hours before use. Read further instructions on how to correctly utilize it for my hair type. I was so excited to test it out! My hair is thick and wavy and usually takes a good 30-40 minutes to straighten. This took me maybe 15-20 minutes! I sectioned my hair and basically brushed it through my hair like I would when brushing and it straightened it almost effortlessly! It did not die, nor is the battery close to dying!! I love love love it! This was the first time, and so far so good. If I run into any issues, I will be sure to update my review! But for now, this was an amazing purchase!! :) highly recommend!

I bought the TYMO Porta Cordless Hair Straightener Brush on August 3, hoping it would be a reliable tool for quick touch-ups while traveling. At first, it worked fine, but after just two weeks, it completely stopped heating up! I contacted Amazon two days after the return window closed, and they assured me it wasn’t a problem, even sending a UPS label. Unfortunately, I couldn't return it within the 7-day period because the brush was out of the country with my sister, who wouldn’t be back until September 21. Amazon told me to call back on the 22nd, which I did, and they said I didn’t need to return it since it wasn’t working and promised me a refund.Fast forward 10 days, and I still hadn’t received my refund. When I called again, they flat-out denied the refund, citing the closed return period. Furious, I asked to speak to a manager, who did nothing but robotically repeat that “nothing could be done.” Not only is this brush a total waste of $70—it stopped working after two weeks—but Amazon's customer service was useless, stringing me along with broken promises. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this product at all costs!

This product is incredibly easy to use and has quickly become one of my travel essentials. Its compact size makes it super convenient to pack and carry, without taking up much space in my bag.Despite its small size, it's very effective and works just as well as larger alternatives. I also appreciate the thoughtful design, which makes it intuitive and hassle-free to use, even on the go.The charge does die after a few days or few uses, so just be sure to pack the wall charger!

I purchased the TYMO Porta Cordless Hair Straightener Brush for a trip, and while it served its purpose, it didn't quite live up to my expectations based on other reviews. The brush does an adequate job of straightening hair, but it requires charging after each use, so remember to pack the charger/cord.One inconvenience I encountered was the brush becoming too hot to store in its carrying case immediately after use. I'd advise waiting for it to cool down before packing it away.Although the negative ion technology and USB rechargeable features are appealing, the overall performance of the brush was merely satisfactory. It may be suitable for those needing a basic travel hair straightener, but consider your needs and expectations before investing in this product.

The device works fine and feels nice in the hand, heats up fairly quickly, a little overpriced in my opinion. It does straighten hair but I have fine thin hair and was under the impression it would give me a kind of blow out look which it didn't do at all. Also made my hair feel a little static. I do love how small it is and I can re-straighten my hair during lunch break if it’s super humid outside or raining. I will say the charge only lasts one hour if you are using it on the highest setting. Not meant for long term use.

I had this product for less than 10 months before it stopped working. Before that I absolutely loved using this to straighten my daughter's morning hair before school. It was easy to use, heated up quickly, and straightened her hair quite well. However, she always ended up with static and I could only get TWO up to 10 minute sessions out of it before I would have to charge it again. It's not quite as lightweight as one would expect for a travel item, but I never traveled with it so it didn't matter to me. I was really disappointed in the battery life and then devastated when it stopped working altogether.I did contact the manufacturer through Amazon and after 2 months of waiting, I finally got a replacement (since it was under a year since purchase). I am truly grateful that I ordered this through Amazon so that I had all the details needed to provide to them for the replacement.
