Good fit

This battery is a perfect fit for my HTP door. As with all batteries for HTP products, if you want to save $ and go the DIY route, you have to be willing to get a little “creative”. All you need to do to make this battery work with your HTP door is to gently straighten the terminals with some pliers. It’s that simple and will save you $30 (or more). Picture 1: This is the original battery that came with my HTP door. You can clearly see that the terminals used to be bent on this battery. Picture 2: This is a picture of the Eseegoo battery before my modification. Picture 3: The Eseegoo battery after modification. I’ll follow up if my opinion of this battery changes. Otherwise, no news is good news :)

I have had the battery for some time and it has been great for the power pet door. You will need to straighten out the terminals though for it to connect to the powerpet door.

Totally dead when delivered. Shipped in too large of a box with no packing to protect it and was obviously bounced around during shipping. Would not charge when connected to battery tender. Battery tester kept flashing code for "bad battery" just like the dead 8 year old battery i ordered this one to replace! Now ill have to come up with a way to use a more reliable battery as I'm not risking this again! Wouldn't be surprised if it was dead before shipping as there is no manufacturing date on the product (could have sat on a shelf for 10 years before shipping for all I know), and this has happened when ordering this same type of battery from multiple suppliers! NEVER AGAIN!!!

As with these batteries it's how long they can keep a charge. I will update the review when the situation changes.

This battery does not fit the High Tech Electric Pet Door. It is approximately the right size and voltage but the leads are incoorrect. The leads should be staight up at a right angle to the battery, the leads on this battery are bent over sideways parallel to the battery body. They might fit if they are bent up staight with needlenose pliers, but it might break the lead, and it will almost certainly put a wrinkle in the lead preventing a solid connection. Find the battery where the leads point straight up. Disappointing that they say its compatible with the High Tech door - it is but only with modifications.

It's dead already. I unplugged the power and the battery is not turning the door on at all and it keep saying it isn't charged.
