Orchard Road Canning Company 12 Regular Mouth Universal Fit Mason Jar Lids

I have been using these lids as backups for 5 years now. They have a different popping sound when they seal. I get a failed seal her and there. When I can, I often will warm these lids before canning with them.

So far so good! Nice and inexpensive. Reading so much about failures with the new Ball lids this year, so I figured I'd give these a try. Used these primarily for about 100 jars of tomatoes I undertook this year; I had one lid failure. Reserving the 5th star b/c I just finished tomato canning season -- still don't know for sure if the seals will all last the year, but so far so good! (fyi, they are a little different than the balls; they "lip" over the edge of the jar a bit).

I was disappointed when I got these because I thought I was getting the complete lid not just the flat sealing part. There wasn't anything in the description explaining that there was no screw on part included.

I have been canning for over two decades and never have I had a product fail so miserably. The lids all buckled/ bent weirdly when I put them in the hot water bath and did not seal at all, allowing water into the jam and wrecking an the entire batch. Most costly canning fail ever. Only Ball and Kerr for me.

All lids sealed! I'll be buying a lot more of these!I've been having trouble with the Ball/Kerr lids. Out of 12, 4 did not seal, so I went looking for a new lid manufacturer. I bought 3 packs of these and have not had a single failure. So I ordered 10 more packs!

Several lids did not seal because of creases when they cooled after water bath.

They are a perfect product to replace the inner lids of canning jars. will buy again!
