Sturdy, durable, versatile and safe handling
This Mimiuo griddle pan is made of sturdy cast iron which is heavy, unbreakable and long lasting. It has a decent size of 20 x 35.8 x 3 cm (oval shaped). It comes with a removable wooden(14 inch ) handle which will be removed prior to loading into oven or grilling area to avoid overheating or burning. I would suggest that take extra caution while use the handle, as the iron pan is really heavy. The plate can sustain up to 500°C. It is unparalleled in heating retention and heating uniformity which will make your food sizzling and appetizing even after taking out of oven. It is scratch resistant and stain resistant. This plate is suitable for searing, frying, baking, broiling and grilling whether it is in the oven, on the stove and hob, on the grill or over campfire. Use it on my BBQ today, it's great for making smash burgers.

Perfect for the Ooni
I have been looking for a low sided pan that I can use to make pan pizza in my Ooni. Believe it or not, they aren’t easy to find (with a handle). This pan is pretty much perfect. It well made and the holder is very solid. My only slight gripe is, I did manage to drop one pizza on my birthday when making pizzas for everyone. The handle lifted just as I reached the lip of the Ooni. The pizza hit the deck and so did the pan. There was no damage and no-one was hurt but it was a little concerning. Perhaps they could design a better locking mechanism but for now I will use this and be careful.

Looks nice but using it is a different entirely.
This Mimiuo rectangular cast iron griddle is solidly made with a built-in handle at both ends. Into these handles slots the metal end of a wooden handle - being able to detach it so that it doesn't burn the wood or get in the way of people moving around. As you can see from the photographs, the wooden handle is quite long and potentially represents a hazard in that if somebody catches it, it can pull it off the heat source so being able to remove it is a good thing. However, the handle is very fiddly to remove with it getting stuck a lot of the time. Also, even though the wooden handle is quite lightweight, the griddle is heavy and you can either use both hands to pick up the griddle or have it put quite a lot of force on your wrist. The surface of the cast iron griddle is very rough and will file away the surface of any plastic - non-stick - kitchen tools that you might think of using with it. If you just stroke your finger across the surface, it takes away the skin from your finger which you can see as the pale traces in the photograph. When it comes to cooking burgers, the food gets into the pores of the surface and is very difficult to remove - requiring soaking in water which is not particularly practical during a production run - not removing them resulting in cooking on burnt food which is far from ideal. This is a nicely made cast iron griddle but the handle is frustratingly difficult to remove when you need to remove it and the surface is too rough for proper cooking if you are doing some sort of production run.

ottima fattura
