wonderful laser engraver
The media could not be loaded. I finally bought this machine after reading many product descriptions and buyer reviews of laser engravers. I was not disappointed. It took me about 20 minutes to put this machine together. Then I couldn't wait to install the software and do my first laser evgraving on the wood piece that came with the machine. This took me about an hour and a half. An hour and a half was a suprise to me as a beginner, but perhaps pthers could have done it in less time. The resolution of the print is much better than what I saw when I previewed it in the computer software. The machine is very light weight and easy to carry to other places, so it is very suitable for fundrasing charity sales. I think that this machine is also perfectly suited for a nice engraving business. In addition, the print also can be done through phone app. I like it.

Easy to use!! Nicely built!!!
I was a bit scared getting into the hobby, however everything was surprisingly easy! Instructions were pretty clear and setup/installation was a breeze! I ended up using the open source software lasergrbl on my PC and it was pretty simple. Engravings are clean and deep on my scratch pieces of wood, looking forward to what stuff I can make!!

Easy to install and works great !
The media could not be loaded. It works great, easy to install and connect with computer. Cut 1/8 inch board just need twice then finish. I made 2 kids craft for my kids, they love it and paint it.

Becareful with this seller
The laser itself is amazing. Super good detail and quality. The reason for this bad review is that my purchase came incomplete (missing parts). When reaching out to customer service, they wanted me to pay for additional for them. That being said, becareful with this seller since they cancel items by saying they are out of stock and then resell them at a higher price.

Works great! Beautiful Cuts
The media could not be loaded. My first time using laser cutter/engraving machine. However, I have extensive experience with 3D printing technology (I have been 3D printing and modifying/upgrading 3D printers for several years now), so setting this unit up was very familiar. This unit comes with all the tools needed to assemble the laser. It does not come with a laser bed which, in my opinion, is a must accessory. I would not run my laser with out it. I am new to the laser hobby, so while I am still experimenting with power settings for different cutting and engraving, it is too easy to make a mistake and burn the table. Frankly, I am surprised laser beds do not usually come with the laser kits already. I purchased one prior to receiving this unit to protect my workbench. I highly suggest you do the same. I got 300x300mm bed. This bed, although too small for my laser, has already saved my workbench twice. The laser working area is 350x335mm and you can actually fit a bed that is just under 450x450mm.The unit comes with a thorough instruction manual on how to assemble it. I followed it with out any problems. The instructions lack information on which cables plug where but since the connectors are all different type, it is impossible to plug the wrong cable into the wrong socket. There are 4 connectors (3 for each of the motors and 4th for the laser itself). Since this gadget has moving parts, cable management is crucial. I found that the manual doesn't address that. There should be enough slack left for the laser gantry to move freely. I suggest plugging the laser module cable first and work your way securing cables from that point on. There is an unboxing/set up video available on the manufacturer's website that might be more helpful than the printed manual.I wish the layout of this unit was somewhat different. I don't like that the access to USBs, microSD card and power button are all the way at the back. I find it awkward to access. I ended up orienting the unit sideways, which makes it a little harder to visualize the true position of the laser (computer position vs the actual). Also, the included air pump is not integrated into this unit. It is a stand alone air generator that requires a separate power source. Since it only requires 12V power (same as the laser unit itself) I don't see why it could not be powered directly from the laser machine. I don't like to take up my already limited power outlets on my workbench when it could have been integrated into the unit.As far as the software goes, I did not try the manufacturer version. The 2 other software available are "LightBurn" and LaserGRBL." "LightBurn" software is not free, despite the label "open source software" in the manual. There is a 30 day free trial, after that it is a $60 license. "LaserGRBL" is truly an open source software; however, I choose to try out LightBurn. The manufacturer does not provide any insight on what cut/engraving settings work best for different materials. Most info online is for higher power lasers but if you search, you may find 10W laser info. So far for me it has been trial and error.... a lot of trial and error. I have worked out cut settings for a 2mm basswood. The results are beautiful! The machine cuts basswood like butter with nice crisp lines. The best cut settings for my 2mm basswood turned out to be 300mm/min at 90% power (with air assist on).Overall, I give this laser unit a solid 4 stars rating. I took a star off mainly because it did not come with the laser bed, for the lack of cut settings information, and the awkward position of the ports.
