This is a small and portable coffee grinder, perfect for you to carry when travel. It feels good when you sit by the window, drink a cup of coffee you grind yourself. It will be also a good friend for the business people, comparing you from one city to the other city.It is also good to use at home, which is warm and sweet.

Used twice a day at work for 6 months...and counting
I make 2 cups of coffee a day with this grinder and it works as well today as it did 6 months ago. Mine arrived with a small dent in the lid, but I didn't bother sending it back for that. It takes about 90 cranks to grind enough for a serving, but that only takes about 1 minute and it helps wake me up.

Works for Peppercorns and Salts, but don't try dried hot peppers...
It works great if you're grinding up peppercorn or salts, but it doesn't do too well with some spices and herbs. I tried grinding up dried Habaneros and things didn't go so well, but for peppercorn and salts this thing works great.

Easy to use
This is really easy to use as long as you dont mind the manual labor. It allows you to freshly grind enough beans for a pot if coffee. Its perfect.

Extremely hard to open
Have you ever bought something that was totally useless, this was one of those. There was absolutely no directions with it. It does not unscrew, I tried over and over to open it. I am an elderly woman and not all that strong anymore. I had to have someone else open it, and even he had a hard time opening it. It is just wedged together very tightly. I bought this as a coffee grinder. I'm not sure if the top comes off also to fill it, we couldn't get that part off. So in order to get product in you will have to unscrew the grinding mechanism and then try to squeeze the beans into the very tiny opening. The beans have to be turned sideways to fit as its so small. It went directly into the garbage :(

Small, but gets the job done.
This grinder isn't very fancy. It is totally manual, and is a little tricky to get used to. I'm just starting to dive in to the world of gourmet coffees, and this is the first grinder I have bought. That said, I can tell it isn't one of the more expensive/high quality models out there. Once I figured out how it works, however, I was able to grind up some beans and make a delicious cup of coffee. I'm sure as I evolve into more of a coffee snob I will upgrade, but for now it is working. I would say that this is a good starter grinder, of perhaps a travel grinder since it is small in size. For the price, it's worth a shot.

Pretty useful - not perfect
This product is okay. It works pretty well it's just a little bit of a clumsy design. The handle sometimes doesn't fit well onto the grooves and makes it difficult to turn. I haven't used it for coffee but as a salt and pepper grinder it's pretty decent. Once it's lined up the handle is easy to turn and the consistency of the grounds is really nice.
