I have tried a couple other brands of this type of single USB C to USB adapters for my 2022 M2 MacBook Air, but none of them were narrow enough to both fit my laptop at the same time ... until these. Thank you Oxlaw for a great engineering design! I would buy again.

The adapter works perfectly fine. However there is a computer generated representation of what looks to be some kind of chipset on it in the product pictures. Curious about what this might be doing, I took it apart carefully and found other there is no such thing. The only things inside of this besides the connectors and some rubber is a board with two LEDs, a resistor for the LED and a resistor and bypass capacitor for the USB-C. This is completely according to the USB specifications, so that is good -- but it is annoying that the picture of its internals is complete fantasy.

I’ve used a few different brands of USB-C to USB-A adapter over the years. And there are still some USB-A devices that I have that I need to plug into my MBPs, so these are still a necessary evil.Good thing they are pretty inexpensive and small.These are solidly constructed of aluminum. The square shape leaves me with mixed feelings. Most of the others I have are rounded. But it doesn’t seem to block the adjacent USB-C port, I was able to get both of them into adjacent ports.I like the little light on it that tell you that it’s connected and ready. Not all have that, and it’s a good tell that it’s still functioning and plugged all the way in.It snapped in pretty solidly to my MBP. So I’m taking that as a good sign for now. Hopefully it didn’t cause any damage to the port on the MBP.If you are in the market for a couple of these to have laying around, these seem to be as good as any out there that I have tried.

I bought these because I was looking for something faster that wouldn't slow down some of my jump drives that I use. I can't even attest to the speed because I had so much trouble getting the jump drives into the slot, and then I couldn't even get the USBC end into the laptop. I didn't want to push too hard and ruin the port. I did get one drive connected by pushing really hard, but then trying to get the adapter back off was terrible. I returned these.

These will pass the highest power your brick can throw. I tried 100W but they seem to go up to 250W. Data transfer was also not limited. Limit came from USB Stick. Good quality.

Good product, good data transferring speed. Very small and compact, amazing for travel. The package comes with 2, so if you lose 1, you have 1 spare. It's quite difficult to plug into my USB C port on my M1 mac, I had to shove it in and pushed hard until you see the indicator light turn on. Other than that issue, amazing product.

I was out of usb slots for my new laptop. It helped me connecting all usb devices to my PC and phone for data transfer and mouse. Perfect for new version of laptops.

I wanted a USB C to USB adapter which is how this is advertised but I didn’t notice all the male and female information so I haven’t got what I needed BUT, regardless this is a great bit of kit, a great size and really well built. The picture is exactly what you get so I have no excuses but if this is the adapter you need then I would heartily recommend this one
