The kids at my church really enjoy the messages, as well as the adults. I get most complements from the adults. I wish they had a lil more stories, but a year is good. The materials needed for the children's moment are easy to find around your house.

I mistakinly created a wonderful children's sermon/moment that took me 2 weeks to get just right. When I was asked to create another a few weeks later I was distraught! How could I repeat something that I had poured so much effort into! I started searching the internet and found this book. It is exactly what I needed to incorporate ideas, scripture and fun into a children's moment during our worship. Now when I am asked to take another turn at a children's moment, I just ask when?

I do the children's sermonette at my church. This book makes it easy to come up with the right object lesson because it lists the chapters, has an index of scriptures, and a topical index. Each lesson suggests a take-home item for the children that will help them remember the lesson. There are also lessons for every holiday.

This will help me immensely doing the kids' object lessons Sunday mornings. We're starting out with the Super Bowl idea this Sunday. I borrowed a football helmet as the prop and can't wait to share with the kids.
