Update 07/18/2018 - Well, the bulb failed. I looked over my shoulder and there was no bright red glow from my bike taillight. False alarm - I had a dodgy connection at my bike generator - The bulb was fine, and after about 200 hours of being used on something it probably wasn't intended for, continues to be as bright as ever.----------------------I'm somewhat abusing this bulb. And it just doesn't care.Technically, my use is within specs, but I'm probably pushing the stated power ratings.It's on a 6v 3w bicycle bottle generator, in a fairly low-end plastic taillight. The tire-driven bottle generators are, like virtually all bike generators, magnetos, and produce A/C voltage. This bulb really doesn't care about the polarity, it doesn't mind the fairly wide range of voltages as the bike goes faster or slower, and it doesn't seem to mind the moderately high frequency (for an 8 pole bottle generator with a 20mm friction wheel, A/C frequency can exceed 200 hz)This bulb puts out bright light at a relatively low cycling speed (think voltage) and gets bright enough at riding speeds that I can see the red glow in my rear-view mirror. Remember the bottle generator bike lights you had as a kid? Yeah, they weren't great. Those old basic filament bulbs just barely gave enough light to ride. This is the bulb you wish you had back then.Add to that the fact that the bulb looks and feels well-made, a solid bit of equipment, and I feel pretty comfortable knowing it's behind me at night.I haven't seen this bulb in a mini-bayonet base, but when I do, it's replacing the dodgy LEDs that I've had (and replaced) several of in my headlight.There are a lot of disappointing LED products on the market. This is not one of them. Absolutely pleased with the performance and value.

This bulb worked! I had purchased other E10 LED replacement bulbs not knowing that polarity made a difference. I have an old Garrity plug-in emergency back-up light that used an E10 incandescent bulb. That old bulb just wasn't bright enough to practical anymore (especially in these days of LED lighting). I had so wanted to update my back-up light for future use, but no other E10 LED bulbs worked in my light. This bulb works! And it is so much brighter than the incandescent it replaced. This bulb arrived in just 8 days from Britain (I'm in the US). My bulb arrived safely packaged -- zero issues or problems here. Very pleased. My Garrity back-up light is now back in service and better than before!

It works fairly well. Very bright at first but has trailed off in brightness after only an hour or so of use in Petzl headlamp. The threads are loose though so that's the biggest complaint as it sometimes just goes out completely and you have to jar it to make it work again.

I've been shopping around for LED replacement bulbs for the as-seen-on-tv product called Instabulb. This is the 4th product I've purchased for this purpose and so far, this is by far the best. Very bright, much more than all the others. The color rendition is very good. I can't quite put a finger on its overall color temperature, it seems kind of like a "daylight" white, it's not warm nor cool. It puts out a pretty good spectrum, definitely makes reds "pop". This has been a constant issue with other bulbs i've tried, most are quite blueish. Power consumption as measured from a USB power supply is 0.260 amps at 5.06 volts, which comes out to 1.315 watts. Temperature of the bulb casing doesn't get hot, just a little warm, maybe a 15-20 degree above body temperature.Even though it shipped from across the pond, it arrived quickly, about a week. Came in a nice plastic box that should be usefully repurposed for some other project.

Always liked my Petzl Zoom headlamp but have not used it in a long time since LEDs became common. Decided to try this replacement bulb and it seems like a great buy. It fit no problem and, as can be seen in the photos, is a lot brighter than the standard incandescent bulb that came with the headlamp. Have not used it a lot yet so can't comment on battery life or performance in winter conditions but I expect the LED to outperform old bulb.

Got this as a replacement for my Petzl Duo 14 Belt when the first bulb died. I tested this up against the fresh backup bulb that came with the Petzl. I guess it is a little brighter but not enough to warrant buying this just for that reason. The better reason is the LED will last a lot longer and you can still have an original bulb on standby just in case. So all in all i'm happy with it. It shipped pretty fast for it coming from across the pond and was packaged well in a plastic case and bubble wrap.

It was nice to be able to resurrect the old Petzl headlamps with this battery adapter. I paired this bulb with a AA battery adapter insert and it's like a brand new unit. Works great for night time XC skiing.

Ich habe die  Petzl Erwachsene Stirnlampe Due LED 5, Gelb, One Size, E69 P  schon sehr lange - gekauft wurde sie kurz nachdem sie herausgekommen ist. Mit den 5 Leds für die geringere Lichtleistung in der ersten Stufe ist sie sehr sparsam. Mit der Halogenbirne als Scheinwerfer in der zweiten Stufe war sie zwar sehr hell, aber bei einem sehr hoher Energieverbrauch und mit dunklen Flecken im Lichtkegel. Zum Wegwerfen war mir die DUO jedoch zu schade, da sie im Bereich Robustheit und Wasserdichtigkeit fast alle anderen Lampen übertrifft.Habe jetzt die Halogenbirne der zweiten Stufe gegen diese leistungsstarke und energiesparende Led getauscht. Sie hat jetzt nachgemessen die gleiche Lichtleistung als mit der alten Halogenlampe und zudem eine viel gleichmäßigere Lichtverteilung und durch einen deutlich niedrigeren Energieverbrauch eine längere Leuchtdauer. Nach 3 Stunden war sie immer noch genau so hell als mit neuen Batterien. Mit der früheren Halogenbirne war hingegen nur noch ein leichtes glimmen.Es ist mit der DUO Led 5 mit dieser Led Birne jetzt auch möglich, ohne Batteriewechsel eine ganze Nacht unterwegs zu sein. Passt auch für die  Petzl ZOOM HALOGENE .Aufpassen, möglichst Batterien verwenden, oder bei Akkus rechtzeitig abschalten. Akkus werden ohne Mindestspannungsschutz erbarmungslos tiefentladen. Die LEDs sind bei mir im Einsatz in alten Taschenlampen (von Artas), und hauptsächlich in Lupen von Osram (Halomax) und Eschenbach (Mobilux, die alte Ausführung mit Glühlampe). In allen Fällen funktionieren sie prima. Sie sind viel heller als die alten Lämpchen, haben eine angenehme weiße Lichtfarbe und bisher ist von den fünf Stück hier noch keine kaputtgegangen.Positiv hervorheben möchte ich auch noch die Gleichrichtung innerhalb der Lämpchen, sie funktionieren mit beliebiger Polarität oder auch mit Wechselspannung.

Ich habe seit Jahren eine Petzl Mega(belt) im Schrank liegen und sie kaum genutzt, da die Anschaffung der Batterien bei dem hohen Stromverbrauch recht sportlich waren und die Lichtausbeute nicht der Oberknüller war. Soeben habe ich die neue LED Birne eingesetzt und werde die Lampe nun wieder öfters benutzen, das steht fest. Tolles helles Licht, das für freihändiges arbeiten perfekt ist. Mit der Batterieladung, die in die Stirnlampe rein passt, werde ich wohl lange leuchten können. Eine super Anschaffung! Versand etwas länger, da aus dem UK, aber das ist okay, wenn man darauf eingestellt ist.Nachtrag: Ich habe das Leuchtmittel intensiver getestet und stelle- wie einer meiner Vorredner- ebenfalls fest, dass ein dunkler Punkt entsteht, wenn man den Leuchtweite reguliert. Dies ist für mich aber nur sekundär von Belangen, da ich erstens froh bin, meine alte Petzl wieder nutzen zu können und zweitens die Regulierung nicht zwingend brauche. Nach wie vor ein super Update.

Mit dieser Birne wird Deine geliebte alte Taschenlampe zur Super-TaschenlampeDie Möglichkeiten für den Einsatz sind nahezu unbegrenzt.... mit ein bisschen Hirn im Kopf......

Trotz anfänglicher Bedenken passt diese Birne in die alte Petzel Duo Stirnlampe gut rein. Auch der Reflektor bietet deutlich mehr Licht mit dieser LED Lösung
