If I wanted a cheap replacement, I would have gotten one for $4.95 - Don't waste your money, when you put in $50 worth of Mobil 1 oil, don't risk using this junk. I'm trashing it and ordering an MB Genuine one.

Yup, these are the real deal. A genuine Mercedes oil filter for a much lower price than at an M-B dealership. I have been purchasing these filters on Amazon for nearly two decades. They arrive at my door without the hassle and added expense of a trip to the dealer. All of these filters work just fine and last a long time.Pay no attention to the few negative reviews and ignorant comments. Just like most all Mercedes-Benz vehicles, our cars and the components that go into them are manufactured in multiple countries. If we purchase this filter from our local Mercedes-Benz Parts Department, it could be made in China, Mexico, France, Germany or even the USA. It's a global world, folks... but these oil filters still look and work exactly the same.
