I am glad I ordered the Modaliy Scooper Bowl for my husband. He has Parkinson's disease and is better able to eat oatmeal and soups using this bowl. I also like the attached placemat because it gives the bowl some stability and protection from spills. He likes it too. I am also pleased that it is food grade silicon because this can go in the freezer, refrigerator, oven and microwave and that is a great convenience. Oh, and you wash it in the dishwasher! Love such versatility! Seriously, it is a great product and very helpful to my husband, especially the curved lip that prevents more spills.

I found this bowl after using the scooper bowl for years, then my daughter outgrew the size of that bowl. I have purchased other options of bowls/plates but the suction just did not work. My daughter is disabled so needs something sturdy with a lip to smooth the food into the spoon before putting it in her mouth. The key to all of this is keeping the bowl in its place. This absolutely does the trick! The mat does not move while my daughter eats. The bowl is large enough for her food. I like that the mat also helps with easier clean up because when the food does fall off the spoon, it typically lands in the mat.And the clean up of the mat is super easy! I am so glad I tried this bowl/mat.When the bowl/mat first arrived, I thought I'd be bothered by the fact that the bowl and mat are one complete piece (not a separate bowl and mat) but Iove that now. Makes clean up even easier and quicker.

I had high hopes for this product, and I suspect it may be a good one. But it arrived packaged as shown. The mat portion had been folded under and was stuck firmly to itself, taking several minutes to pry it loose. As a result, the mat was warped at the folds, and would not lay flat, so suction to table was impossible. The mat is very thin and flimsy, or it could not have been so easily folded this way. I'm assuming Amazon repackaged this item this way, and this is not the original packaging. I hope the replacement I requested is in the original packaging, and not a returned item, as this probably was.

This bowl turned out to be a great help to my 93 yr old dad. He was using special weighted utensils for his essential tremors. With the suction to the table it made the bowl stay on the table and easier for him to independently eat. It is also designed for an adult so it held an “adult portion” of food. Wish we had found it sooner! I just washed it up in the sink and let dry on the counter. EASY!

I bought this bowl for my dad because he has a disability and would spill his food all the time with regular bowls/plates. It’s good for the most part and for it’s function, but I do have to comment that when you pick it up to move it, since the mat around the bowl isn’t sturdy, it’s flexible and loose, so you may spill if not careful. Hold the actual bowl to avoid spill. Other than that, it stays in place. We actually don’t put it directly on the kitchen table because it’s wooden and after heating up the plate, it’ll just damage the wood or leave circle underneath so we just place it on top of the table cloth and it’ll still stay in place!

My husband is almost totally blind and also suffers from vascular dementia. Mealtime has become more stressful for both of us. This suction bowl has been a real game changer. It is adult-sized. He really likes using it for cereal in the morning. It washes up so easily!

I have a student with limited use of her hands. This allows her to eat independently in the cafeteria and it goes through the industrial dishwasher nicely. It is bigger than needed; I would purchase a smaller one if available.

The bowl is large enough to hold everything I have needed to serve in it. It easily holds a cut up baked potato, cottage cheese and cut up vegetables with plenty of room to spare. My wife uses heavy silverware (Kinsman stainless) and it is easily supported by the rim of the bowl if she puts the fork or spoon down. She is happy to be able to keep the food inside the bowl instead of splashed on the table. I have not used it in the microwave. I am beyond thrilled!!

I was very happy with the product as was my client. He has tremors and needs pureed food. We looked around and it was hard to find just a solid color that does not look childish as he is a grown man. This works so well. It does not move no matter how bad his shaking is, allowing him the dignity of eating without a mess. Wonderful product!
